Hey everyone, what Nevadastars said about Kurt Busch saying "decrepid old has-been" made me think of another driver saying something about Greg Biffle, I think it's been a few years but I remember it like it was yesterday. Sterling Marlin was upset with Greg Biffle and called him a "bug-eyed dummy". Sterling's hilarious anyway but that was so funny.

During last week's race (near the end), Jeannie Zelasko (sp?) said that Kenseth was having engine trouble and was going to switch to his "Back-Up" engine. That's a GCE if you ask me. (Gross Conceptual Error for those who weren't Navy Nukes.. Which is probably all of you.)

Actually it was Donnie Allison, but still that is one of the best lines ever.

Nope! (I looked it up to be sure since I was about 9 months old at the time it actually happened--but I've seen tons of replays!)

Cale Yarborough spun out Donnie Allison on the track. They talked it out while the race was still going on, but Bobby (who was a lap down) pulled off the track and just jumped in and started beating on Cale to "defend" his brother.

Oh, yeah, Smoke...and Kurt Busch also added that Jimmy Spencer had the "brain of a peanut".

Heather, I stand corrected! I just did a quick net check myself. I was going strictly off memory, and at 53, its failing fast. I watched that race live on CBS in 1979 and remember Cale and Donnie banging and crashing down the backstraight on the last lap. so I assumed it was those two, in the fight since they were doing the banging, my bad.

No problem...easily made mistake (and like I said...I wasn't even a year old when it actually happened so mine is all internet research). I just always remember it was even more absurd because Bobby Allison wasn't even the one in the mess on the track

Here's another fun one I found in my search (one I actually remember) when Kevin Harvick and his crew were dancing on Ricky Rudd's car after Richmond in 2003 "[they were] walking up and down my car like a dadgum runway or something jumping up and down." The only way that would have been funnier is if Sterling Marlin would have mumbled it in his accent

My favorite was when DW challenged all the fans at Charlotte who cheered when he wrecked to meet him in the K Mart parking lot after the race! Sorry DW I was one of those cheering that day.

Hey rave20, I remember that one, too! I do actually remember all that's been listed, does anybody else? They're all classic! I'm wandering through a vast cavern (which is my brain) trying to dig up some more! jamminj - the announcer saying about the "back up engine" ! I caught that, also, I'm like - "back up engine?!" And worse yet, I don't believe that anybody corrected it, but I could be wrong.

Not sure how funny it is but I believe it to be true that Jimmy Spencer does have a brain the size of a peanut. If you don't think so just watch him on Speed sometime. Another media idiot loose with a microphone. You can "Quote me" on that one.

Well, I do like Jimmy Spencer. He was fun to watch in the truck series. And, and, he doesn't care for the bros Bush. I think Tin can would probably like him too for that very reason.
