I don't really hate any driver...Tony Stewart angers me at times with the do as I say, not as I do thing he has got going. Otherwise I pretty much enjoy all the drivers.

I think there are many people who feel the same as you. Myself I don't HATE any driver. There are some that I could do without, many I'm neutral about and a fair amount I like. More than anything I like "racing". Whoever wins, wins. That is pretty simple. I just enjoy all the drama before, during and after the race. Often times when there is some controversy it immediately becomes a subject here.

Wow, I go to the big city for a few days and the nut jobs come out of the woodwork! I'm referring to the bonehead stirring up the trouble, not the rest of you, of course. Although there's a few regulars here I'd call "nut job" but only as a term of endearment.

To the question at hand, I seriously do not hate any driver. However, I'm not overly fond of Kyle Busch's erratic moves and what looks to be a total win at all cost attitude. Coupled with his lack of maturity, it's been a pretty nasty combo. Stewart needs to decide if he's going to be a two faced hot head with anger management issues or concentrate on being one of the best drivers racing has seen in a long time. If he pulls the kind of crap he did last year, well, I guess he gets my "most hated" vote. Jimmy Johnson is just kind of vanilla so I can take him or leave him. I actually like Jeff Gordon, because despite the fact that even he admits to being a whiner, I don't find him to be nearly as grating as he used to be. And oh, yeah, he's a pretty decent driver. He is sooo hated by soooo many that I almost feel obligated to cut him some slack. I think Kenseth has the whining thing perfected. It's a shame I can't hate him because he's not afraid to mix it up with anyone in spite of his wimpy attitude. Oh, but wait, how could I forget the driver I truly love to hate - our very own "why is my roll cage naked" Robby Gordon. I take back my comment about not hating any one driver. I forgot the off road king who needs to do just that - stay off any road, track, cow path, wagon trail, whatever, of any kind. I like rootin' for an underdog, but he's a little to "under" for me. And on that note, since I must have been going through short term forum withdrawal, I'll end my novella and move on.

Yep, you leave for a few days and the forum just goes right down the tubes. We had one person using three identities and was creating hate and discontent with them all. He is gone and the world is once again good. He really didn't last all that long, but just long enough to get the attention of some regulars ... and the staff.

I can live with Robby but he always give me the impression that the racing world is beholding to him. I commend him for trying to make it on his own but I think the days of owner/driver are long since gone. Tough to do both jobs effectively. With the right team he might be a competitive driver ... then again if he were actually that good someone may have made him a star by now.

I agree with the above posts regarding "love", "hate". I "love" the Es, "hate" the Gs and the Bs. I/we don't even know these people! All provide us entertainment, don't they?

I happen to "like" the Waltrip brothers. There are so many who "hate" both of them for whatever reason. I don't get it, but that's fine with me!

Being a Red Sox fan, I "hate" Jeeter. Why? Because he's "cocky" (can I say that?) and one of the most arrogant people I have ever seen ... I guess that's for another area of this forum. Just making a point.

OH Penny, Penny, Penny. I've brought this question up before. Hate is such a strong word. How can you HATE someone you don't even know? I think this is due to some of the fans mentality that "If you LOVE (this driver), then you have to HATE (that driver).

This is the part about being passionate about a driver I just don't understand. The only thing that "___________" cares about is how much money we spent buying his T-shirt, hat, banner ..... Anything else about you/me/them means absolutely nothing. More than likely they don't want to be confronted by that fan that "loves" them and only them. I do not mean love as in stalker kind of love, I mean only believeing there is only one truely great driver in NASCAR. Maybe because I cheer for racing instead of driver "X" I just don't get it. Thank goodness I missed out.

Fans are true. E Sr. won many championships, and those who hated him still did, and those of us who loved him still did.

I, along with many fans, don't suddenly support the driver who wins the championship. What kind of fan is that?

Do you honestly think that if Jeffy-poo wins the championship he'll gain more fans? Uh-hum ... take a look at the Johnson and Busch fan base.

Any fan who jumps on the bandwagon of the best driver of the moment isn't a true fan!

I wasn't saying Jeff will gain a fan base if he wins the championship. I was kinda saying the haters can so to speak can "eat it" after he does.
