| Newman To Start Last In Atlanta HAMPTON, Ga. -- Pole-sitter Ryan Newman will move to the back of the field for Sunday's Nextel Cup race at Atlanta Motor Speedway after blowing an engine in Saturday's first practice. The engine of Newman's Penske Racing Dodge blew coming off Turn 4 nine laps into the session. The crew immediately began switching engines, which under NASCAR rules mandates a move to the rear. Newman isn't concerned. "This is the best racetrack if you have to go to the rear," he said. "Obviously, we don't want to do it, but we've got a great car. I'm not going to complain at all about luck or a break. This stuff happens every once in a while. "It's no fun when it happens. [Teammate Kurt Busch] had a problem at Vegas and we're having a problem here. The guys at the engine shop are working hard and we'll carry on."
