This is what I think about Red Bull Racing

I think Red Bull Racing will move down to the Busch Series Level. One because they are a new team and they don't what they are doing. Two because they have Brain Vickers on their team and he is a past champion in the busch series and he also knows how to win races in the Busch Series. The third and final reason is because they have this name A.J. and he is new to NASCAR and he has know clue what to do so they need to start him off in the Busch Series instead of putting him in a Nextel Cup car. That is what I think will happen to Red Bull Racing after this season is over or maybe before the season is over. Tell me what you think of that?

As of now Red Bull is doing what virtually every other first-year team with relatively new drivers and a new manufacturer could be expected to do; struggle.

Red Bull is heavily into motor sports and doesn't have a history of getting in, then dropping out when the going gets a little tough. My personal take is that they'll keep prodding along until they get something to click, on a regular basis. Since they are the team owner, not just a sponsor, the drivers are probably pretty set until someone decides that they can't fulfil their driving obligations. I don't see that happening anytime soon. Vickers is a pretty much know quantity and has Red Bull's best (only) finish so far this year. Almendinger qualified fast enough for Vegas but had to go home due to NA$CAR's idiotic "Chosen 35 Rule."

My biggest question is why doesn't Red Bull have a Cup Lite team for A.J., to get him seat time in an almost-Cup car and get some brand name recognition with the fans?

My prediction is that you'll see perseverance and Red Bull will be in the sport as long, or longer than NEXTEL.

Re: Red Bull Racing

Red Bull just needs time to be successful, they aren't going to win races right off the bat. Give them 1 or 2 more years, and they will be in contention for wins.

Those are my feelings. New team, new driver, new mfg., figure the odds that they'll come out screaming. They've been in F1 for...? three years now? Plus, they bought a team (Minardi, which was a turn key deal) and they still have yet to post a win.

Give them time.
