Oh man, wrong house!!!! #%#$& Well I HOPE they have an ice beer ready when I'm done!!

But back to the starting grid, no snow there, but there is alot of sand. So no more shoveling, lets pound sand!! I'm sure that could also involve an ice cold beer!! The weather is suppose to be great, no sight of rain!! Oh yeah, we're in the desert.

Does anybody know? Does Gilliland have to go to the back? It looked like they were pounding on it after qualifying, but I never heard for sure. I even checked the http://z10.invisionfree.com/DavidGilliland David's message board, but nobody else seemed to know!!

I know, but I can't find a list of who's going to the back!! They don't change the line up list, they do usually have an article or paragragh somewhere saying who's going to the back. Although, I haven't seen that at all this year.

Understand. I went to NASCAR.com and couldn't see anything right away. Their site is no fun to try and navigate anymore. Maybe I'm gettin' to old for this high tech stuff !!!

Re: UAW 400 Staring Grid

On David's message board it said he was going to the back up car!! But, he said when they tested it, it was very, very fast!! So, now he gets to start in the back with his "old team mate" D.J., maybe he can help D.J. come to the front!! Well, he might as well start at the back and show us what he's got, from the back to victory lane!!!!

re: Bold above. Potentially one of those "wrecks of good fortune/opportunity".

There were times that we would draw the pole pill and voluntarily drop to the tail end. This was mostly early on in the drivers career when we had more than adequate equipment, and the driver was showing nice promise. "See what we could do" was the purpose. Races were relatively short 15 - 25 laps and a promising driver on the pole would see little if any traffic racing over such a short time - not much of a test or learning opportunity. Really fun to watch the "coming through".

I for one am hoping it was a wreck of good fortune/opportunity!!
Starting at the back, he will have quite abit of traffic to come through, that will give him some more experience. I don't think he is afraid of driving it wide open, as it seemed so, in his 2nd qualifying lap, hopefully that gave him an indication of how far he can hang it out without losing it.

So tell me, how many brown-bottle payments will it take for me to say what I want, when I want, to whoever I want without getting dragged by my hair to the hauler?

No, you're not too old, my friend. I actually sent feedback to NASCAR.com after their latest redesign. I used to frequent that site, but the only reason I go there now is to find the points statistics.

They are so focused on "bells and whistles" now, it's difficult to find the information I'm searching for.

Actually, I think GTG has better information!

First thing you MUST do is participate in the live chats.

After that you MUST be nice to everyone.

As far as the "live chats", I enjoyed my first one two weeks ago, but am not always available on-line!

Hey! Are you saying I'm not "nice"?

I always look forward to your comments, LSC!
