| Re: took the dive Nice seats. Actually my most favorite at many a track. Looking right down the straight with full view of pits. At Dover there are not a lot of "bad" seats. Been going to both races there for something like 15+ years. Been pretty much right where you will be except rows in the twentys. You'll, as you probably already know, be taking the elevator to yours. Don't believe you have a choice, but do check to be sure. Allow time for this as line grows noticably beginning about 45 minutes before start. re: Daughters - I'd be real surprised if you had issue with surrounding folks. One thing for absolute sure, bring them ear protection of some type/form. See ya there! |

| Re: took the dive I've been going to Texas for about 4 or 5 years(missed a year). Anyways I don't think I've ever had a problem with surrounding crowd. Sure you may get a dumbass or two mixed in but for the most part it is real civil. I would take your daughters. Really how much time will you have to spend with them before they get too old? I know on thing when my little girl gets old enough to attend races she will be there right by her daddy's side. Probably when she is 7 or 8. She will have no choice but be a Nascar fan. |

| Re: took the dive as far as ear protection, they confinscated my scanner last year at the busch race. a few years back I was sitted right behind 2 miss 40 year old tinyboppers, and right in front of the drunk collage guys that could n't help but spill beer every where. |

ear protection - would suggest this to anyone, but especially for youngsters. The little foam ones that you squeeze down then insert are comfortable and effective. As far as the poor fan experience. Noone can guarantee that it will never occur. I've found it rare in the stands at races. (Now there are some REAL stories to be told from our days as competitors in the pits). Does not matter the sport. I mean look at the idiot parents that are running on to the field of play and attacking coachs, officials, players, and other parents. Hey one thing you've got going for you - you are not in the cheap seats. Where you're at you are going to feel the heat from the fly over, especially if they do the peal back individual flyover. Hasn't happened every year, but when it does, it really stirs up the joint. |
