If there are indeed fans and media who say and truly mean "legend" and "best ever" has already been attained - these individuals/sources are obviously lacking with regards to the sport and the specific segment in which the individual competes. They are discountable and not worthy of debate subject consideration.

Now, having said that - can't find ANYWHERE a professional and knowledgeable media source (individual or publication) that makes written and public claim / takes position that "legend" and "best ever" has been attained. One could find then play interpretive games with some written material that suggests the opportunity exists that one day high recognition might be obtained - but that ain't the same.

Can't find similar with regards to statistically demonstrating a/some overwhelming majority of fans (knowledgable) vote - "current and forever legend and best ever".

As for individual fans, some can be found that believe every other event shouold be run with right turns. Legends in their own time and mind.

So, over rated (that is after all the question)? Show me the rating(s).

To all who have posted in this thread ... Thank you. Once again a controversial figure has brought out a whole lot of discussion. Discussion that has brought out many, many and varied opinions.

Even to the person with the least keen eye, there has been some straying from the topic. A year ago one poster on here was debating issues and let emotions and personal feelings override the concept of these forums. When that poster returned to this site there were/are expectations from the GTG staff. I have monitored all the threads on this forum and have watched different individuals to ensure that emotions and posting do not get out of control. In reviewing this thread I didn't see where this person lost control. Were there opinions there that I did not and do not agree with ??? YES. I'm still willing to hash out the differences with most anyone over most any subject. My perception is that someone, other than the individual who many think, got this thread off course and brought up issues from last year. The postings are all there. Read the entire thread for yourselves, objectively, and see what you find.

For me this is the last time I will publicly address this issue. I will continue to monitor this forum as I have done for sometime now. I'd once again ask everyone to take the time and read the posts for what they say, not what you think they say. I'd also ask that the subject/topic be a part of all your posts. If you feel the need or desire to bash a driver, that is fine. Those are an OK part of our rules. KEVIN LEPAGE is a JERK is fine, but when you say LSC9901 is an idiot because you defend Kevin Lepage ... NOPE No Good !!!
