All Dodge front row for Atlanta! And my man Kasey Kahne is on the pole with the Pole King Ryan Newman outside of him. Hopefully we get some fresh faces up front this week. Here is the lineup.... http://www.racingone.com/start_pos.asp?raceid=2628

Re: All Dodge front row for Atlanta! Are these Chargers, Intrepids or what? Is there a problem/preference 'tween the two? Or something about Dodge teams askin' Nascar for some help? What, exactly is the skinny in 'Moparville'?

Newman is driving the older Intrepid and pole sitter Kasey Kahne has the new Charger body. Rumor has it that they have identical setups (as is shown by the .002 second difference in qualifying) and plan to share information after the race on handling, tweaking, etc. Well, that is, if this race ever gets going after rain delay. |

Re: All Dodge front row for Atlanta! The intent is not to offend, nor are politics an issue here...the reality is that traditional NASCAR racing was born and bred in the USA...to me that equates to running USA vehicles...to do otherwise is to "selll-out" much the same as we have seen in the INDY circuit...that is truly an international venue...I have always felt that NASCAR (born in the USA) should stay in the USA. Dodge is no longer a USA product, nor is Toyota and the pending others. Politics has nothing to do with it, the purity of the NASCAR race venue does... I know and see that the NASCAR formats are changing, but I sure as heck don't have to like it. Please also understand that I really, really like the drivers in those Dodges, just don't like the ride...Kasey comes from my neck of the woods as well as Bickle and both are favorites...just don't like the German wheels of the track...again, not wanting to disturb y'all...just sticking with traditional reality that is rapidly fading....and fading...and fading.... Ya suppose that if those raindrops quit falling on their heads, that we could get the race in???

Re: All Dodge front row for Atlanta! Well, its not the old days anymore when it comes to whats on the track. I'd much rather see 426 Hemi Roadrunners battling 427 side oiler Cyclones that looked stock. But thats not the way it is anymore, I have learned to accept that, and more people should too. It's not going to change, just like North Wilkesboro and Darlington are gone and we cant change that. What are you going to do when Toyota is in, then Honda, and maybe Nissan? You can't stop progress.........or regress, as what is happening with American car manufacturers. No, you dont have to like it, but making sarcastic remarks in a public forum doesn't do anything except agitate and get threads locked.

Re: All Dodge front row for Atlanta! Wampinrock - 98% of all TOYOTA'S are made in the USA! This is apparently the "evolution" of the sport, I'm not thrilled, either, but you can't stop "progress". With the "economy" the way it is and going, who knows what will happen a few more years down the road!
