Stewart & Bush

Sounds like Kyle and Tony kissed and made up, here is a little something Bush had to say.

"Once he takes his helmet off, he is a completely different person," Busch said. "You are able to talk to him and be receptive. It is good to have that relationship off the track."

Sounds kinda mushy to me.
My guess is Tony takes him out in Atlanta, What do you guys think..

Re: Stewart & Bush

Typical Nascar kissey kissey after an altercation to show they are "professionals". Its all show for the media. I doubt Stewart is going to have Kyle over for dinner soon. Oh, and it's Busch.

Re: Stewart & Bush

Welcome Georgiaracefan, I won't be surprised to see Kyle messing with Stewart, either! It is par for the course that they do the "kissy, kissy" thing before the next race, so when something happens, it wasn't "payback" even if it was!

Re: Stewart & Bush

Herein lies the fundamental difference between a guy who had to bust his rear to get where he is, and a spoiled brat who was simply handed everything. Who do you think has the skillz to survive?

Re: Stewart & Bush

I happened to catch a Kyle Busch interview on Speed Channel before the race (or should I say "rain delay"?) started. Kenny Wallace and Jimmy Spencer did a painful skit/attempt at having a debate on Stewart (Spencer) vs. Busch (Wallace). They then interviewed Kyle and he elaborated on the phone conversation he and Tony had. Kyle said they discussed what happened at Daytona and Las Vegas and how they had no trouble with each other at California. They were ready to "put it all behind" them and go racing.

We'll see...when's the next restrictor plate race again?

Re: Stewart & Bush

Nobody can deny Tony Stewart's talent and success, but I think he is a punk and I think he has far fewer fans this year than last, and I believe Kyle Busch will eventually surpass Stewart in all his achievements, beginning this year. Hendricks is far and away a stronger organization than Gibbs.

He will never win 3 dirt track championships in the same season.
I'm sure you meant Cup achievements though. I'm no Busch fan, but the way Tony is going, he is probably losing a lot of his credibility as a person. In which case, is probably hurting his fan base. He may not last too many more years in Cup with his attitude, which is too bad because he is probably the most talented guy out there.

Re: Stewart & Bush

Not only is he losing credibility as a person, but I'm sure his teammates are pretty upset with him as well. They bust their butts building and fine tuning a race car that can win the race, and he lets his little temper tantrums ruin it for them. He could have 2 wins this year instead he's in a hole. He'll probably still make the chase, but I'm betting on Kyle Busch to beat him this year. That'll really give Tony something to cry about.

I totally agree with tbalt, I can't stand either shrub or elder Busch and you are so right, shrub is a punk. They both need to come back down to earth with us. Sick of their attitudes. Oh, and Tony will be in the top 10 no question.

tbalt - you quoted my (post #11) as you disagree with most of the posts on this thread. Jackball asked (post #5) who has the skills to survive, my answer to this was Stewart, aren't we saying the same thing?
