I am rather new to Nascar. My 9 year old autistic son recently took an interest so we decided to choose favorites and follow this season. I chose Dale E Jr. and he chose Denny Hamlin.

My background. Well, I never really got in to Nascar but as a youngster I did enjoy watching Richard Petty and that group (70s ish). I'm 45 now, but in my 20s I worked as a mechanic in the early 80s and my boss was a small circle track racer here in Wisconsin. It was fun to watch those races, but I was never a real race fan.

I don't know why, but this year I decided to give Nascar a try and my son fell in love with it from the first race.
With all the other sports being populated with greedy thugs, I thought maybe this is a good sport for my son to follow and these drivers all seem to be pretty good role models, compared to the rest of the sports world. They're all very gracious and respectfull to the other drivers, even in defeat. Something I'm not used to seeing.

Anyway..
My question; is there a PC Nascar racing simulator out there that includes Denny Hamlin? Can someone recomend one?

I was at the nascar.com site and I temporarilly subscribed to the trackview stuff. Pretty cool.

Any other links or recommended reading is appreciated.

Hey, Jeff, and welcome to GoTeamsGo. I don't play NASCAR on the PC myself, but my nephew talked me into picking up a game called NASCAR 2005: Chase for the Cup for our game console. If there's a PC version of that, you might want to check into it. The copy I picked up was only about $15, and I've found it to be quite enjoyable.

Is it ok to assume the later the year the better or is that a bad assumption? Are these upgrades (2003, 2005, etc) or different games?

I just found another.. Nascar Simracing and there's a demo.. I'll give that a try too.

simracing is a good sim, but really full of bugs and plagued by lack of technical support. try nascar racing 2003 season. it's a bit outdate, but believe me, it's the best simulator out there! every single aspect down to the last detail is meticulously simulated on the game (though that does make it a bit hard).
