I would say the number of cars JPM passed today show what kind of driver he CAN be. He still has some work to do on the stock car ovals, but I think he will get there.

As far as the Pruett deal, I think his crew cheifs emotions at the end say it all. He was a bit impatient. I don't have a problem with it, but I'm sure a lot will. If Tony Stewart had made that move, he would be getting roasted right now.

Big congrats to him from me, however. I want the drivers wanting to win, and even if my feathers are the ones getting ruffled, at least it makes for better racing!

That is 20th for this year. BBW listed the two races from last year. 20th in points is good but if he continues with the type of finishes he is having this year 20th won't be his for long.

I think Montoya has learned stock cars, and he will soon learn the ovals. Once he does, Montoya will be a guy to watch.

That may very well be true. As I have said before my whole point is that he is totally unproven at this point. His two finishes this year leave a lot to be desired. His finsih today was not at the top level of racing, which is where it will really count. I do not wish him bad luck, I do not even dislike him. I just cannot justify crowning him rookie of the year yet and again with his first two finishes this year he has a long way to go. Since I haven't checked my guess is that he is not in the lead, right now, for ROY. Part of the reason nfor my doubts is that other top names in open wheel have tried and failed. Some with better histories than him. With all of that said I am not beyond admitting that if he should do well, he doesn't deserve it. For me I need to see proof instead of media hype. As it was stated in the movie "Show me the money" !!!
