Re: No Out of Bounds On Last Lap?

Souporscotty,

LOL! No "angry" messages from me! Been there, done that. I'm older and wiser now, but I will post my opinion and arguments when warranted.

You wouldn't be the first that has been down the road of being banned !!!! Hopefully we don't lose you to stupidity. I have faith in your ability to express yourself in a subdued, mild, yet opinionated, manner.

Bring it on !!!!

Re: No Out of Bounds On Last Lap?

Souporscotty,

Yes, I do believe I've come the right place! I am so happy to be a member. NASCAR fans are like family, aren't they?

LSC9901,

You won't lose me to stupidity. No way. Experience has taught me that most people who get banned from forums are either hostile or threatening, or think that their opinion is or should be gospel.

I mistakenly got into a debate in another forum. Though religion was not the topic, it somehow got weaved in by another member. My very-open-minded and polite response prompted a spew of venom and accusations by the original poster. Yikes!

Enough about that!

Here's hoping that my statement about "faith" doesn't fall under the guise of religion.

LSC9901,

Oh, my goodness! No way! I'm not that hyper-sensitive! Good catch, though!

Re: No Out of Bounds On Last Lap?

Had a tee shirt, aimed I suppose at "stick and ball" folks. Might still have it.

Said - "In our sport, when something goes out of bounds, it doesn't come back".

Picture was Jimmy Horton at Talladega. Leaving the building.

Thanks LSC that is what I meant but to be honest I didn't know what "milquetoast" was much less what it meant so thanks again.

Re: No Out of Bounds On Last Lap?

milquetoast
a very timid, unassertive, spineless person, esp. one who is easily dominated or intimidated: a milquetoast who's afraid to ask for a raise.

I've met many in my career who fall under this category. Certainly, no one in this forum.

Most major sports have rule books that are available for anyone to see, but Nooooo , not us.
For someone like me that is fairly new to the sport, how do you find out the rules. One question I had was, in Daytona, the car that went across the finish on its top. Was that a legal finish. I thought you had to have control of the car.

I think the car has to cross the line under it's own power, not being pushed by another car.

I can remember harry gant getting pushed around dover on the last lap, he was out of gas rick mast puyshed him around about 1/2 to 3/4 of the lap, gant had lapped the field.
mast let off coming off of turn 4 and harry coasted to the line, I think nasacar let the victory stand.
Dale sr. passed gant to get his lap back coming to the green. sr. was the only other car on the lead lap with gant.

LSC,

LOL! Based on your posts that I've seen so far, I don't believe for one second that you are a milquetoast ...
