| Again We Ask, Will Martin Stay? Once again, we find ourselves wondering if Mark Martin has actually made up his mind. He started the season with the intention of helping Regan Smith get into Nextle Cup fulltime in '08. But with his success in the first two races, I am again beginning to wonder. Mark obviously wanted a championship to top off his career. He's finished second in the final standings 5 times and was in contention last year. After the Daytona 500, team owner Bobby Ginn said to Mark the if he wanted to run the full season, he'd get him a car. I think his success so far will influence his decision. If he does well next week, I think he'll make a run at the Cup. |

| Re: Again We Ask, Will Martin Stay? Ya gotta think he must be considering it. I'd enjoy seeing it and would be right there rootin' for his first Cup. Tough guy to root against. I expect he'll hang on for as long as he remains in the running for the title. Of course then, based on history, he'll be hangin on. Then however there's the other Martin. Truex. The two biggests blasts at the speedway yesterday were courtesy of DEI engines. For how long does he endure what must be increasingly seen as weaknesses within DEI. He sure sounded towards end of rope yesterday. |

| Re: Again We Ask, Will Martin Stay? So he keeps driving as long as he's doing good. Does that mean he will drop out if he starts running poorly? When will Regan get his chance if Mark stays in the car? |

Regan will get his chance as planned this year. Bobby Ginn told Mark they would find him a car, meaning Smith will still get some time in the 01. |

| Re: Again We Ask, Will Martin Stay? I think Mark's best shot to win a championship would be in a chevorlet. And of course when you have HMS engines under the hood, you know you are gonna be a contender every week. If Martin runs good at Vegas, I think he may run full time and go after the championship. If he does, watch out, he's gonna be a serious contender than he has ever been.

| Re: Again We Ask, Will Martin Stay? I don't know if he has a chance to win a championship then i think he has to at least try. If he don't then he will always wonder "what if". |

Especially when you are in the points lead. How can you quit at that point. This may be the equipment he needed all along. Damn those Fords !! |

I wondered how long it would take you to chime in. I agree, but I think there are times when driver/manufacturer just don't match up. I'm sure in Mark's case that doesn't apply. After 19 years in that brand you'd think he'd have the kinks all worked out. |
