| Re: Where are the GTG ladies? Agreed. I have season tickets to Loudon. Gordon was boo'd relentlessly ... Earnhardts cheered. Johnson also was boo'd, I think more loudly than Gordon. I'm not sure why. I'm not a big Johnson fan, but the stands were strongly against him. Now, due to the 500 controversy, poor Mikey is getting boo'd. Is there any other sport with such emotion? No way! |

| Re: Where are the GTG ladies? trollmc08, Obviously not a Waltrip fan, huh? Do you think Mike knew what was going on with his car? Personally, I don't. Why would any driver risk it? I wasn't there ... I don't know. Even Gordon got sent to the back of the field, but there was very little coverage of that. |

I learned a long time ago that the reason our opinions differ from the guys is simply because - well, we're different. But I have to say I think our opinions are probably less different when it comes to a topic like racing. What's that they say in France? "Viva la differance", or something like that. Can you believe I took four years of French! (OK, almost 4 decades ago, so have mercy.) |

| Re: Where are the GTG ladies? Heh, no kidding! Lots of emotion on the good side too... look at how Kenseth was very emotional after winning the Auto Club 500 on Sunday (and sweeping the weekend... GO MATT!!). But hey, these guys are driving at 200 mph in a cluster of cars all going at around the same speeds... hell if that doesn't make a man emotional, I don't know what would. And yeah, there can be difference of opinion among the sexes... my husband is a fan of Jeff Gordon and Dale Earnhardt Jr. while I'm a big fan of Matt Kenseth and Clint Bowyer. I don't hate Gordon or Jr. and while my opinion of Tony Stewart was pretty low for a while last year, he eventually won me over with just how damn good of a driver he is. Emotional? Hell, I was sweating bullets in the last 20 laps of the race on Sunday.

| Re: Where are the GTG ladies? Yea, Stewey has just about won me over also. I really didn't like him last year but NEVER underestimated him. He is one of the best ever. Harvick is doing the same for me this year. He is like a man on a mission. I do still like my team Hendricks, with Gordon,Johnson, and Kyle. I would also like to say hi to all the ladies joining us in these talks. I need someone to guide me through all this racing stuff. As I'm not real knowledgable about i |

| Re: Where are the GTG ladies? Navadastars, Well! I guess you told me!! SpaceCadet, Thanks for the post. I also think the male/female differences aren't so obvious when discussing NASCAR. I think we all have our favorite driver(s) and will defend them come h#ll or high water. At the track here in New Hampshire, I see many, many people wearing Gordon t-shirts and stuff, both male and female, mostly kids, yet he gets boo'd during driver intros. By far, Sr. and Jr. t-shirts monopolize the fans in the stands. I guess it depends on the region, huh? Souporscotty, Thank you! Yes, I'm pretty knowledgeable regarding NASCAR, but I'm no expert. Just a huge fan. I base my life on common sense and racing is no different! I agree: As a driver, and particularly an owner, I would want to know everything about the car about to take the track. I'm rambling ... I know ... give me just a few more minutes ... SteelPhoenyx, Your husband likes Gordon and Junior? Does he have multiple-personality disorder? Just kidding, my friend. I don't have a strong opinion regarding Kenseth. He seems to be a good guy. KENVOL, Don't worry. The ladies will be happy to guide you Not a Hendrick's fan ... sorry. Though Harvick is in the former 3, there's just something about him I don't like. |

| Re: Where are the GTG ladies? I'm still not totally sold on Harvick but I just like his get it done style. The way he came from nowhere to win Daytona and would probable have won Cal. if not for the flat. Winning the Busch series last year in the fashion he did is pretty amazing. I will probable hold final judgement until next year but he looks so far as someone I could pull for. |

| Re: Where are the GTG ladies? As for the difference in the opinion of men and woman, I think at times it is very different at other times not as much. I have been married for 19 years and have learned that women react with more emotion and men react with more fact. so when you throw racing in the mix the different in opinions can be a very refreshing and intriguing prospective. So I for one welcome everyones opinion no mater what your gender is. |

| Re: Where are the GTG ladies? Well PPS, I tell you everybody cheats the best thing is don't git caught. In the words of the late grate Earnhardt "the team that never cheats never wins" now to clarify that a little as a driver/oner you stretch the gray areas of the rules to your advantage as much as you can and sometimes you go to far and that is when it is considered cheating up to that point it is considered pushing it to the limit. so in knowing the rest of the teams are doing it then you have to just to keep up. |
