Bean don't think your singled out you just posted when someone had that thought. a lot of people use others "names/screen names" in posts if for no other reason to make it more personal. After all this is a sport we all take very personal and very passionate about.

Unfortunately, on ocassion, someone does get singled out. We try to put a stop to that right away. Everyone has an opinion. I've been known to have more than one and I'm pretty much unafraid to express them. After all what's gonna happen to me if I say something y'all don't like ?? Gona come after me with a tire iron ???

Anyway Simon you are correct. If there is anything in your life that bothers you so much that it sux then maybe you should get away from it. Bean, for many of us we do express our disgust with NASCAR but will continue to be fans. Remembering and wishing for the past is perfectly normal. Sometimes other posters will quote a specific message to show how their opinion is the same or at times just the opposite. As long as we all remember that we have differing opinions and accept them we'll do just fine. This forum (NASCAR) is the most popular site on GTG and we do a great job of keeping the peace among posters. Don't feel singled out. When someone quotes my postings I'm happy. It shows they either like what I have to say and agree or they take the time to say I'm outta whack and explain why.

By the way Simon ... trust me. This will not be the end of this discussion. It will always exist and will only grow in size. Bring it on !!

Why can't shell be a sponsor on cars and uniforms. Doesn't Mobile and Texaco Have their logos on their drivers uniforms and I think both companies produc fuels in addition to lubricants?

Sunoco won't dare make any attempt at at Texaco or Mobile because they have been involved in Na$car longer than Sunoco. Personally, I would love to see their sales go down over this little incident.

This would probably be the same group of folks(not sure just guessing) that uses the excuse of Brian France fartin to make a rule change. However I see it as... Richard Childress no longer has( as does everyone else on the track for that matter) Dale Earnhardt Sr. Childress racin has not seen much love(in my eyes) from Na$car since Big E's death. He could argue til he's blue in the face... I feel Na$car will do as they have done mostly and turn off their earpieces.

I would like to see Sonoco sales hur by this but I don't know of a Sonoco station in the state of Alabama and that includes Tallladega. Not much I can do to hurt their sales

Well if we had a Sunoco station near me I would use it. Last year when on Vacation out East our car got 3 mpg better with Sunoco then it does with the crap Shell sells around here.

Unfortunately I can only help Sunoco's sales because I can see one from where I'm sitting! One of probably 3 Sunoco stations in the state and I can throw a rock at it. I may buy one of those Harvick fathead things and stick it on the window.
