Good Finishes

To Hell with the yellow falg controversy. The same with the cheating crap we've endured this entire week.

How about the finishes of Mike Wallace and David Ragan? Now, THERE is some worthy news!

Mike had a 4th and Ragan came in 5th! Now there is something to talk about!

When is some team owner going to quit trying to find the next Jeff Gordon and give Mike a chance to show his worth? Penske did it in when Mayfield whined his way out of the #12 Mobil ride. Mike gave that car some good runs but Penske put Newman in the seat the following season.

Ragan had 42 other drivers wanting to chip in to pay his Greyhound fare back to Unadilla, Georgia after the fall Martinsville race. Ragan almost proved the old cliche may be true by hitting everything except the pace car! He had less than a stellar record in 2006 (10 attempts, two starts and a high finish of 37th), then in 2007 he takes the seat of the venerable Mark Martin!? I, for one, would have been willing to take odds that Travis Kvapil would have the ride by Bristol.

Good job Mike (Good to see a driver in Cup named Mike, who actually possesses some talent), and David. I sincerely hope both of you keep it up!

Re: Good Finishes

well, considering their experience in NASCAR id say Said and Montoya had good finishes

ive always liked Said who just may grow out only being thought of as a road course specialist if he can finish in the top 20 in points

and Montoya is my favorite driver now that im getting back into it again

I should point out David Gilliland in 8th and Joe Nemechek 9th.

Re: Good Finishes

Yea Bob, I was really happy for Mike Wallace. I never thought he would get a shot at Cup again. He is a good guy and driver. Hope he does well this year.
Also, anyone notice Kahne and Sadler pulled off 6th and 7th place? Watch out for that 9 this year!

Mike has always been my favourite Wallace Brother. Rusty was a bit over the top and Kenny...? He represents one of the few times I believe Planned Parenthood could have been a positive thing.

Kahne is one of, by my personal count, sixteen drivers who have a completely legitimate chance at taking home the Cup this season. It's going to be an interesting year, both on and off the track.

Bob, Bob, Bob, Bob .... what are we going to do with you ??? Could you please stop expressing everyones views ???

Now from my side of the fence Dim Wit and his X-tree partner would fall right into that catagory also !!!
