computer error message

most every time I restart my computer I get this message

"Exception EOUTOFRESOURCES in module LOCALLOG.EXE at
00048877
CANNOT create shell notifcation icon "

does anyone know what this means, I know when this pops up on start up
that it'll do it's shut down the monitor thing.

I'll be reading or typing and it will just put the monitor to sleep. only thing I can do is a manual shut down, sometimes this happens several times a day then sometimes it won't happen at all for a few days.

any ideas ????

Re: computer error message

That's a new one to me. Have you tried goin to google or microsoft.com and type that message in? You said it does it on start up? If it does it on start up sounds like something has run out of room... or their is a file possibly corrupted.

Re: computer error message

Might try a geek forum, but might want to give them more info such as operating system and such.
Have you checked your resources to see system memory and hard drive capacities, but sound like maybe a corrupt registry.
