new member, question about chicagoland

hey, everyone glad to find this site, i have been to 5 different tracks & plan to go to chicagoland speedway in july from alabama, i will be taking my wife & 5 yr. old girl. anyone know this track very well & know what would be good seats, naturally i would think close to start finish line & close enough to get a good feel for the cars but also to be able to see the whole track, i like to take all things into consideration like sun in eyes & stuff like that, thanks for the help hope to see ya there!

Hi KL and welcome to GTG. Glad to have you join us. You were fortunate enough to find the best sports forum on the internet and also lucky enough to find the most popular NASCAR Forum on the internet.

I've never been to Chicagoland but I'm sure someone here will help you.

Re: new member, question about chicagoland

I've been to that track and any seat is a pretty good view but try to get in the middle under the grandstand so you will be in the shade. Gets pretty hot here that time of year. I will be there for qualifying.

The orange section with the higher section being the best in my opinion.

Sorry. I've never been to the Joliet track. However, I'd bet any grandstand seat would be good. I, personally, like to be between turn four and the line at about any track I've attended.
