Time for Change NASCAR or NO NASCAR

I am tired of the over regulation of NASCAR on the teams. I am bored by cars that must be equal. Have to fit a template shape. Must run a restrictor plate. Can't run a hot fuel. On and On.

Lets get back to real racing. The fastest, best handling car. Whoever is it is. Just make it exciting.

I would love to see any team just blow the rest away.

I'm bored.

Stand by for a very disappointing year. Equality is what NA$CAR is all about now .. or should we just call it IROC ???

So true. I remember when they used to just make a better car to get better results, not look for NASCAR to give thema break. A manufacturer would be better for a couple of seasons, then the other would come out with a better car.

But this started a long time ago, and got worse when the FWD's got in. If I remember correctly, they had to change the body shapes a bit, since the race cars are RWD, and that started the consessions. I think the Lumina was the first, and Ford teams started crying foul, since the car they brought was pretty much true to the T-bird body shape. I could be wrong.

I know that the body styles, shapes have always been a bit of a battle. Even going back to Smokeys 7/8ths size Chevelle!

Times are changing, and some people can't accept change. If you are a diehard racing fan like me, you learn to deal with it and enjoy it.

He would have loved the 60s/70s when Petty would sometimes lap the field 5 or 6 times!

Re: Time for Change NASCAR or NO NASCAR

my problem is I like the close competition but I don't like all the cars being the same. I know that sounds like I contradiction in terms but it ant a perfect world if it was I could have it. I guess i like looking at a car with no decals and still know what the manufacture is.

Correct me if I'm wrong on this, but, doesn't "stock car" mean pretty much having the same kind of car? Am I wrong in thinking like this? Someone tell me something!

stock car means stock like from the factory and you can tell the difference one from another by just looking at them.

The term Stock Car originally came from cars you could buy off the showroom floor, hop up a bit and go racing , but those days are obviously long gone. The term today is a contradiction in terms.
