So, ABC & ESPN are going to be brodcasting the last part of the 2007 season and beyond. Jerry Punch and Rusty Wallace are two of the names which I have heard "thrown out there" as far as a brodcast team. Anyone hear anything else? Any opinions on those two?

I'm really not a fan of Wallace. He's an asshole in a nice guy suit if you ask me. I'd rather see Mickey Mouse & Donald Duck in the booth than Wallace.

I agree that "Whinning Wallace" is not a good presenter...he was a pretty fair driver, but his on-camera interviews left me looking for a handkerchief to hand him when he was not in the top ten...just because a driver lasted a couple of decades does not qualify him to be a good announcer...Spencer is another example of this. (speaking of poor announcing, I remember Irvan during his interviews in the mid to late 90's...he could not keep track of which eye was supposed to bother him...he would favor his left eye...then the next time, he would favor his right....couldn't get it together !!). A full race of Wallace would just about make me look forward to the commercials. I still look forward to Ned and Benny and Chris and.......times shore to change!
