I hope they do boot Mickey out. Toyota has a fortune invested in development and it was Mikey and DW who led the way. Ever heard the old saying "if it wins on Sunday it sells on Monday?" Toyota can not afford to be given any more black eyes in this sport.

Bottom line Waltrip is ruining the Toyota name from the first competition laps so bye bye Mikey.

When someone cheats or attempts to cheat, I dont blame the manufacturer, I blame the team. Yea, its a bad deal that it was Toyotas maiden voyage that they got busted, but I think the average racefan knows it was MWR, not Toyota that did the dirty deed.

Just wanted to update, NASCAR WILL annonce what the substance in Mike's intake was within the next few days.

I think the only way Toyota can hope for that to happen is if Jr quits DEI and jumps to Toyota. Damn ain't that an evil thought I just had.

Something got lost in translation. The comment that I posted was intended to put all of the blame on MWR. I don't think Toyota had anything to do with what happened. I was just trying to emphasize that the Waltrip brothers have been The TV spokespeople for Toyota racing. Mikey was the first Driver to announce he would be Driving Toyota. I think toyota has to be so mad they can't see straight over being associated with that level of disregard for the NASCAR rules.

If iI were in a position to do so I would pull all Toyaota sposorship from Mikey

Just my opinion

Sorry tuck, I agree with what you have said and was also giving my opinion on the matter. I guess I shouldn't have quoted you as it looks like I was disagreeing when I wasn't.

If there is more than just the two of you that agree with that does that make it a crowd that agrees ??

I would'nt call it a crowd, as in three is a crowd, I would refer to more than two is a group that have the same feelings about a perticular subject. All are welcome in this group. Now let's give the group a name, My suggestion is "Ban Michal Waltrip". I do belive he should be banned from NASCAR for one year minimum and then allowed to return under a 5 year probation period.

Just My Opinion

I will join the "Ban Michal Waltrip" group I didn't like him even before he cheated.

Personally I don't disagree but in reality even I think that might be a bit harsh for the first (caught) offense. I'm all for making an example out of teams that pull this crap but if (and it'll never happen) NASCAR were ever to dispense justice equally there would be a lot of drivers out of work. There may not even be enough teams to fill the 43 car field.

I'm not particularly fond of Mikey anymore.... but I feel it was some other folks that did it. It's not Michael's M.O. I could be wrong though. JMHO

I'm sure he didn't physically put the additive in the tank but since he is the team owner he, like most all good company bosses will do, must accept the blame. I would certainly do some internal investigating if in fact I really didn't know who did it. When I found out who ... they'd be looking for work elsewhere. I'm sure we'll never really know.

Or was it some exotic additive for JP5 or something like that?

When it turned up in two separate manifolds I immediate thought it was funny fuel, but exactly what baffles me. But the thoughts of it being JP5 or sterno made me laugh.

I was in fact an airedale but was an AT ... Only thing I knew about jets was to stay away from them when they were turning up on the flight deck. Had one guy get sucked into the intake on an A-7. Came out alive .... but a wee bit shaken.
