I don't think it's fair of nascar to take his car and not give a reason, or tell him wearther or not he'll get it back in time to put in a racing set up for the twins.

if they say OK this doesn't pass and we're keeping the car, then he could atlease pull out the back up and make should that it will pass what they are talking about.but even if he gets it back today. He'll likely miss part of practice.

I kown someones gonna pull up the cheater card, well lets call a spade a spade in that case and impound the 17,9,19,10 too. a cheater is a cheater right ???

Now mikey isn't my favorite drive by far but I really don't hate him, he just does what the sponsor want spew thier name every five seconds.
why else would he have NAPA,UPS,DOMINOS/BURGER KING. some of the big names in corprate america.
is he never racking yeah sometimes, is he a good interviwe you betchya,is he funny yeah sometimes I LMAO at him ,and he doesn't care because he's laughing all the way to the bank.

First off keep in mind that we don't know the entire story. There is an issue with the manifold of the car. In no way will the sponsors ever condon cheating in any way, shape or form. All of this is actually good news for the sponsors as now their names are more in the news than they would be if he wasn't doing something improper. Mikey is a less than stellar driver. Sponsors will take whatever exposure they can get. They aren't going to be in victory circle with him.

Now they may consider allowing them to use the backup car to qualify in the duels since that is the only way he'll get in. Until something concrete happens everything you hear and read is just someones hopes or opinions.

My guess is that they are merely pushing the envelope just a bit. It's something that all teams do with the hope that it gets by tech inspection. I for one am happy to see them getting caught. I know the old saying goes that "rules were made to be broken", but fines and penalties are made for those who get caught. Now we'll see if the rules get applied evenly throughout the garage.

The rules will never be the same for every driver. If this had been a big time fan favorite, the fines would have been smaller, heck they may have even looked over the mistake.

We might be able to add "Evernhaming" but "Knausing" should have it's own catagory.

The title of this thread should be Unfair Mikey! They got caught cheating in a bad way. Knausing and Evernhaming was small time aero infractions, this guy was trying to create more HP because they knew Toyota was weak and needed all they help they could get. They got caught and the 55 should have been sent home!!! I hope his fans and sponsors look elsewhere for professionalism.
