I dont think they absolutely have to start the 150s, but even if they do, its no big deal to jump out of line and go to the back, or even into the pits. But I'm sure they are going to want to use it as a test session.
One thing I am curious about, is the engine deal. Do these guys run the same engines all week like in a normal Cup race? Do they have to run the same one they raced in the 150s? If so, thats a LOT of miles on those engines including all the practices. Although, if they do change engines, starting at the back at the 500 with a fast car is usually no big deal, unlike Martinsville.
