Re: Bud Shootout Live Chat Pretty good race. It seems that the cars draft pretty well but the dreaded 'bump draft' returns to cause the wreck. Tony Stewart looked good. Toyota had a 2 car test session where they did not seem too stellar. And Gilliland raced smart and it payed off. RYR is the best story of Speedweeks for me. Those guys have worked hard and I hope they have a breakout year like RCR did last year.

Re: Bud Shootout Live Chat I was very impressed with Gillilands finish!!! I'll take 2nd and be very happy with that. First time at Daytona, come from 20th and end up 2nd, not to freakin' bad!!!! He beat alot of top guys!! That was cool that Ricky was spotting for him, giving him pointers. Can't wait to see how the rest of the season shapes up, so far so good. ![]() ![]()

Re: Bud Shootout Live Chat I missed the live chat because I was trying out the free track pass in car radio. That was a joke. There was nothing coming across the individual drivers you clicked on and when I clicked on the "all drivers" all I got was the same guy's spotter. After about 20 minutes I finally figured out it was Brian Vickers spotter. Was anybody else on the free track scan? Is this typical or do you get something better when you pay for it? I figured it would be good to listen to during the commercials but nothing was coming across. Speaking of commercials they were all old ones. Hopefully if we have to get tortured by hours worth this year they are just holding out on them for the regular season.

Re: Bud Shootout Live Chat Forgive me for being an ignorant newbie here, but I have to ask, why is it that Jr. can wreck somebody but that's alright because he says "oops, my bad,"- again! I don't care who the driver is, or the owner is, I personally get tired of it being ok to wreck somebody, say I'm sorry, and you're a hero. In one seventy lap race Jr. was able to "brush the wall" as he does in almost every race because he runs the high line, (depth perception problem or just pushing too hard?) missed his pit, and took out a bunch of great drivers at the end. But he's sorry, my bad, so it's ok. Would someone please explain to me why other drivers, Stewart, Gordon, the Busch Bros. and more, even "Happy" (shudder), get totally crucified even when they admit fault? And don't tell me they never admit fault, because Jr. is not the only "real man" on the curcuit. In my opinion, he uses poor judgement. I love his passion, because I truly believe he is a racer at heart, but I am not caught up in the Earnhardt name and hype. He is a driver with average skills but a heart in the right place. He's a personable, marketable guy, but will not go down in history as one of the best drivers, or he shouldn't, anyway. It's amazing he has 17 wins. Ok, I've put on my armor, let 'er rip.
