Re: NASCAR on NBC.... or FOX?

Both Fox and NBC have their pluses and minuses. IF I were King of NASCAR and the World, I'd form a "Dream Team" to cover the races for the entire season.

Mike Joy........................................Booth Anchor
Benny Parsons................................Driver Input
David Poole or Monte Dutton.............Journalistic Input
Rusty Wallace................................Technical Input
Dave Despain.................................Pits
Dr. Jerry Punch...............................Pits
Glenn Jarrett..................................Pits

I'd prefer Larry Nuber and Ned Jarrett in Mike's and Benny place but Larry passed on a couple of years ago and I understand Ned's health is failing.

People to not allow within 50 feet of a microphone: The Brothers Waltrip, Larry McReynolds, that Weber guy, and Dave Arrute. If Ken Squire wants to come out of retirement, slip him a benedryl (sp) and let him go back to sleep.

Finally, handle commercials like ABC did today for the Indy 500; split screen.

I think the above is workable??

You have me till Benny Parsons. I'll agree DW is getting a little long winded lately, but atleast he's not starting to show signs of old-timers.

So here is my 2 cents:

No thanks to Rusty. He is my all time whiner and (he thinks) knows too much. I agree with your assessment of Squires. Did you mean Jack Arrute? 50 feet is hardly far enough away. Those guys shouldn't even be allowed near the track.

Split screen was the greatest. I'll bet you'll see more of that as time goes on.

Rusty Wallace...............................

Did you catch Rusty say while commentating on the Indy 500, during the final exciting laps...calling it the Daytona 500 ? He immediately apoligized, but I am sure the Indy people had a lump in their stomach

Thumbs up Re: NASCAR on NBC.... or FOX?

I, personally, like Fox better. I wish Darrell would let one of the other's comment on Michael. He really over does it!
