Well, Bobby finally got a finish that was worthy of how he ran! After being up around 13th id Daytona and fading, and tapping the wall in California, they overcame a 42nd starting spot to finish 13th today!

I'll take it, with Atlanta coming up, I hope he can get on a Roll!

I was working but I listened on the radio. Hated to work, but I like the OT!

No way I'm working the next two weekends. He has run well at these next two tracks! I would hate to miss his first win in the 43!!!

labonte finished 16th not great but it was good enough to move him up in the points 4 spots.hes 17th in points just 5 spots out of the chase.and if he can get a top 5 next week could put him up those five spots.and if you remember he did that last year at the same exact track finishing 5th .can he pull it off? im probably going to miss it bcuz of work,i took off last sunday since he started 6th ,doubt i can do it again and get away with it.

I think Labonte will need atleast more top 10's if he wants to think about making the Chase. I'm not sure if top 15's will quite do it. But, maybe it can.

I would agree with that. They really need to step up. They haven't been bad, and at times have run better than they have finished.

However, to make it to the chase, they are really gonna have to get some top 10's, and even a couple of top 5's. They will have a couple of bad finishes, so they better finishes will be needed to balance things out. We still have all 4 short track races, and three plate tracks left. That is a lot of bullets to dodge! Not to mention blown motors, and Robby Gordon to avoid!

Thats the key.......DNF's will kill their chances.....Bobby has to complete the races.., some of that is about luck (not getting wrecked) and some of it the team can manipulate....most accidents are back in the pack....where Bobby often has been running, I'd like to see them take some chances with their pit stop strategy and get them away from that pack of "accidents waiting to happen"...I know not always an option

another way of avoiding those crashes is to qualify well. Dodges are great qualifiers. By starting up front you have a better chance of avoiding those wrecks....of course this is just MHO

being consistant is the key.wether its a top ten or fifteen if you get them week after week you'll find your self in the chase.and how about d.streme and j.j.yelley havent had a top ten yet,but both are in the top 12 right now.and its bcuz of consistanty.

I think this weeknd will go a long way towards pointing out how the rest of the season goes. PE put a lot of work into the COT, and the "experts" are saying that the talk is they should be able to show something extra at the tracks where they run it!

I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

i sure hope they run good in the cot cars,its to bad i have to work during the race.
