We shall see. He had a shot a few weeks ago, but some bad racing luck is making it a bigger challenge. I'm still a believer they can win this year, but they are running out of time.

They have to be better at the start of races. I don't know why they are so bad the first couple of pit stops, but they get too far back in the pack to win!

I think they over adjust on their stops. If they would go easy on the adjustments, they may not drop to the back like they do. But some bad luck has indeed cost the 43 team some great finishes.

I think Labonte can win this year as well, but we will see.

You may be right about the over adjustment. It's been a while since this team had a real chance at much, and I don't think they are used to the pressure or expectations. When you haven't won since 99, you just get used to failure.

Granted, I'm sure most of this group wasn't there, but we all know the track record over the last decade.

On the good news part, a lot of times once you get a win, others tend to follow.

I will always try to have faith. This is a team on the rise, unlike some others who have fallen on hard times. PE is pulling themselves back up, I just hope Bobby gets to reap some of the rewards!

no it doesn't make him the greatest. Again, I've argued the same point. I don't understand how you can say 7 championships and 76 wins is better than 200 wins and 7 championships. But we also need to remember Earnhardt and Petty raced in different generations. Petty raced when there were 65 race seasons, Earnhardt raced when there was 31 race seasons. We should take that into consideration before jumping to conclusions that Petty is the best.

One its an opinion, and two Petty's stats are juiced, Like I've always said, more races and less compitition will allow anyone to beef up the stats, Im not disrespecting what Petty did, 2nd greatest aint bad but thats just how I feel, and Im doing alot of research on him so I can figure out the mistique of Petty!

I'm not sure there is any mystique to Richard Petty. He was just a hard driving racer who wanted to win. He did it in an era when there were far more races per year. The stats will always leave room for opinions and discussion. I believe at this point there is no argument that he will always be one of the top 5 in NASCAR's history.

the best of all time is an opinion but when it comes to stats its richard petty but if you ask me it would be gordon simply because he has and always will be a great driver.and pepsi one as far as bashing drivers go PE should be the last team bashed.and i want to say congrats to PE for getting 2 cars to start towards the front,and if labonte can stay consistant in the top ten and stay clean to closing laps he can make a run for the win tommorow.pettys turn with luck should be coming soon and maybe sooner than we think.

You're speaking your opinion and as far as you can see ... that is the truth. Numbers can be manipulated to say whatever you want them to say. In your case PE isn't what you consider #1.That's fine .... just keep in mind that in the OPINION of others ... you are wrong.

when we speak of luck we are talking about when labonte gets caught up in other drivers wrecks or if someone else wrecks him.lately labonte has had a car that is capable of a top ten or fifteen but bad luck catches up to him.labonte has just as much chance to win out there as anybody thats including stewart,gordon,johnson,and kenseth.it doesnt take big money teams to win or even dominate a race it just takes the right guys who know what there doing and labonte has the right guys with him his crew chief is paul andrews he is a good crew cheif ,ther pit crew are getting much better than what they wher at the start of the season,kyle petty is getting the whole orginization back together,and robby lumas is helping the team alot.we just need to wait for the team to get caught up on the technology so they can be more consistant.
