Re: Dale Earnhardt Jr. Fans Thread

I'm not a Jr fan, but I think he's going to have a great season. I think he will get atleast 5 wins this year. I think the only reason he will finish 2nd is he lacks consistency and the drive. But if he can gain on those 2 this year, I will throw Jr up there as the possibility of the 2007 Nextel Cup champion. Then again, I think Jr will have too many distractions. I predict Jr to finish 2nd in points.

Re: Dale Earnhardt Jr. Fans Thread

I like Jr, and have high hopes for him this season. If he doesn't get the off track business dealt with it will affect him this season, so that is the first test for him.

Re: Dale Earnhardt Jr. Fans Thread

I am a Jr. fan all the way back when he was in Bush. I know he has had some problems in the past but I am hooping for a grate year this year. If he can git rid of all his destractions I think he may go all the way.

Re: Dale Earnhardt Jr. Fans Thread

I think Jr. will have an outstanding season as long as he keeps his mid-level track program the same as last year and does better on the superspeedways. I predict definately in the Chase, and very close to the Championship, as long as he doesn-t get wrecked at Talledega late in the season.

Re: Dale Earnhardt Jr. Fans Thread

This is my first time on this forum. Stumbled onto you this morning. Anyway, I've noticed in several interviews of Dale Jr. this year that he seems much, much more serious and focused. I don't know if the reality of contract negotiations have hit him, but he seems to have grown up over the off season. What to you think?

First off Pits, Welcome to the best forum on the web very glad you joined us. now, I do have to agree with you I also think he has grown up some more but it is about time. All tho some people do try to hold onto their youth to long.

Hello Pitts and welcome to our forum that covers all things sports, The best forum I have ever seen!

I agree that Dale Jr. has matured over the off season. I am not sure if the contract dispute will distract him on track or act as a boost in motivation to run well. I think he will have a better season this year than last year.
Just my opinion.

Well Jr. did pull off a good finish in the first 150 even after idiot Mickie wrecked him. GO JR.

If that accident had occured under regular race conditions I'll bet Jr wouldn't have been so passive about it ... and i wouldn't blame him. Mikey's spotter needs to be replaced. A real bad call on his part.

can't blame the spotter the front of the car is solely the driver responsibility. the driver needs to be replaced!!!!!!!!

Well the driver assumes that when the spotter tells him there is room, that there actually is room. Either way I'm glad Jr was able to get back out and I hope he and the village idiot don't cross paths during the race. If James Hylton had run just a bit harder he could have prevented Waltrip from getting into the 500.
