We've decided to try something new here at GoTeamsGo - individual threads dedicated solely to fans of specific drivers, such as this one dedicated to Jimmie Johnson discussion. Please note this thread is for Jimmie Johnson fans to discuss their favorite driver through out the upcoming Nextel Cup season. It is intended for Jimmie Johnson fans only. I think Johnson will have a good year, but I don't see him repeating. The competition will be very tough this year with Gordon, Jr, Harvick, and Kahne. I think Johnson will finish in the top 5 in the standings with about 3-5 wins.

The competition hopefully will be tough this year. With the COT moving into play that will be interesting to see who can adjust to it quickest. JJ certainly has what it takes and coming off a championship year will hopefully give him the boost he may need. Here's hoping that he doesn't put to much pressure on himself to the point where he starts to fail.

Wow not many JJ fans. I hope he is in contention to repeat, but I have no idea how this season will go. The competition is fierce. There are a lot of great drivers so we will have to see. From the looks of lastnight I don't see him having many friends on the track though
I still hope he makes the chase!

I think Johnson will not repeat this year. I think Gordon, Jr and Stewart will be too good for that to happen. I predict Johnson to finish 4th and around 90-100 points behind the leader.

I think he will make back in the chase but I don't think he is going to win his seocnd championship. I think Jeff Gordon is going to win the championship this year. Kyle Bush and Casey Mears will make the chase but they won't win the Championship. But you won't know he will the Championship until the chase and the season will start. The fellowing list is the drivers that I think will make the chase and this is were I think they will finish in the chase.

Obviously your first choice is part of a wish list. I'd like to see him win also, but I'm not sure Petty Ent. is there yet.

Im new to this forum but love nascar Jimmie is 1 of my favorite drivers but I got a question, whats the deal with Johnsons car last year did he know about it not being legal????

Hi, 4 weeler, and welcome aboard. Interesting question, probably not one well suited for answers in an Jimmie Johnson Fans Thread, because a lot of people have strong, unflattering opinions of the situation.

I'm going to go ahead an post a few weeks that more sensitive JJ fans may want to avoid...
