So how many wins are you predicting for Stewart in 2007? Think he can take Daytona?

Thumbs up Re: Tony Stewart Fans Thread

I hope he does kick butt this year too. I also like others racers. Kevin Harvick for one. I think Martin Truex Jr. is one hell of a racer given a good car. He knows his stuff. Alot has to do with the car, not just the driver. I truly admire the pit crews. Many races wouldn't have been won without them. If there isn't a pit crew forum, there should be.

I think he's going to kick butt this year.

Tony did a great job last night. That car was fast. The interesting thing is how he moved Busch. Kinda reminds me of Sr........which is not a bad thing.

This year I think Tony is going to surprise alot of people. He has more determination now than he ever had and he had quite abit. I love what he did to Busch. Had me worried for a minute. As usual he came through. He does drive alot like Sr.. Maybe that's why I chose him. He is his own man though. He's a great driver and a good man. After what I read of him helping retired racers, I admire him even more.

I'm not mainly a Stewart fan because sometimes he acts like a big jerk. But when he is in a good mood, he's funny. But he's a good driver.

I love what he did to Busch too. Had me worried for a minute, but he came through with checkered colors. No fence climbing though. He' been on a rigorous body training, so he should be able to climb those fences quite well. I look for him to win the Daytona, if not be in the top five. He had some trouble in practice yesterday, but Zippy and the crew are good. They know what their doing. He'll be winning quite a few races, bearing no trouble.

I've heard alot of people say that Tony is alot like Dale. I used to say that's bulls**t, but I guess, when he's not having a temper tantrum, it's pretty true. I've noticed that temper is the only difference between the two. Sure, the Intimidator got pretty hot from time to time, but he didn't react by wrecking somebody for just being faster than him like Tony has done quite a bit (Kenseth, Bowyer, Said). I certainly don't like his attitude, but this is NASCAR, we need a badass and since Dale left us Tony has done quite a job filling that role. There is no doubt Tony is good for the sport (I think Mr. France would agree).

Re: Tony Stewart Fans Thread

They all can be jerks at one time or another. They say one thing and go do the thing their complaining about. Seen that done enough times. They get like little kids at times. Tony is changing in a way. I still like his attitude. I'm one for saying it like it is. That's probably why I like him. Plus he's a great racer. It's time for Daytona qualifying, so chat with ya later.

I just saw Tony in a "Subway" commercial. Is he that short? Or is Jared that tall?

Cool Re: Tony Stewart Fans Thread

Both. I noticed that also. I didn't know how Tony was going to qualifying since he had trouble yesterday, but he did alright. 18th is not bad. It's not great either. Looks like the newbys and rookies took over abit. Going to be a good race.

Re: Tony Stewart Fans Thread

Putting down a good number in qualifying and the way they run in the draft are two different animals, so we will see how the newbees do in the 500. Although I think the 38 will be pretty good.

Re: Tony Stewart Fans Thread

I do not think it will matter where Tony Qualifies. He will be tough to beat from anywhere in the field. I knew when nascar pissed him off on saturday, that he would win the Shootout. He drives harder when he`s mad. Where Jr seems to make mistakes when he is mad.

Just got done watching Unique Whips. They redid Tony's Lambo and his hearse. Outstanding. When I die, if I could ride in his hearse it would be like seventh heaven. What a car. Lambo's not bad either. He smoked them tires too. He better win alot of races to pay for that work. Those guys know what their doing. His Lambo is orange. Go fig. I take it he'll be staying with that color scheme awhile.

Wink Re: Tony Stewart Fans Thread

You lucked out here. I'm to old and have medical problems, which I don't think he like to deal with. Though help in paying for them would be welcome. I'll just stay one of his many fans. It was great he won the Shootout. See, a little shove doesn't hurt anybody. Now all you have to do is get rid of the girlfriend. Best of luck on that one.
