Re: Boogity Boogity I'm with you...I am so tired of the arrogance that Jaws thinks it's cute and entertaining to continue the Boogity thing...I really was a strong fan of Waltrips back in the 91-96 time frame, however, upon stitting in a top seat behind the mike, he has 'sold out' to the big bucks supporting the German manufacturer and then the Japanese manufacturer in entering the NASCAR circuits. His talents have faded with the promotion of the erosion of the traditions of our great sport...and 'boogity' ain't not no place at the track...did you catch the God-awful attempt to say that in Mexican last week??? UGH!

Re: Boogity Boogity No doubt that DW isn't announcer material. Personally I liked Ned Jarrett and enjoy Benny Parsons. It is really difficult to find an announcer that will please everyone but it is also true that the statistics of the average fan are far different than they were 10-15 years ago. Back then there were far fewer fans than today and from a less diverse background. Today everyone from corporate executives to your mailman enjoys NASCAR. DW still lives in the redneck culture. My least favorite is Jimmy Spencer, he treats his job as if he were the Hulk Hogan of auto racing. He is totally argumentative and relatively ignorant. If he were any good at all he would still have a ride. If he knew anything about announcing he wouldn't be on Speed. Speed Channel is good, but would be much better without his antics.

Re: Boogity Boogity DW's BBB is so insignificant who cares that much about it really? Besides the guys at NBC seem like boring robots and I'm sick of them talking about upcoming shows and other stuff not pertaining to the race!

Re: Boogity Boogity When they first started the BBB it was alright, now it's just old! Maybe they need to jump on the band wagon - have a "reality show" to get our announcers for T.V. Go Team YATES Fly those rockets straight to the championship Last edited by Team Yates : 03-16-2006 at 06:59 AM. Reason: no signature showing up

Re: Boogity Boogity Hey Tony Le, THANKS for joining in on the GOTEAMSGO forum! Hope you continue to post with us. It's alot of fun! We are all still NEW! They can stop the BBB any old time, but we're probably stuck with it as long as FOX is still contracted in the T.V. coverage. Keep postin'!

Re: Boogity Boogity You've got to be kidding. Buddy Baker can't talk fast enough to escape the next word coming out of his mouth. Obviously we all have opinions about different announcers and how much we like and dislike them. I will agree that Fox does a far better job than the others even though I'm not a big fan of any of the three that they have there. There have been many good announcers but as time moves on the people who make money for this see the need for changes. As I've said before I always liked Ned Jarrett but it is possible that his time has come and gone. New and fresh faces, theoretically, keep things interesting. I'm not ready for Rusty Wallace and his "hotrod" chatter, even that is a bit dated.
