I would love to see Buddy Baker back with his easy going nature and southern demeanor. I am sick and tired of "drama" and the Hollywood Hotel, boogity, boogity, announcers hands waving with every word, pit crews high fiving each other, hours of prerace hype and childish antics. Nascar is about the racing, and thats what I want to see and hear about not Kevin Harvicks fishing trip. Sorry for the rant, I guess I'm just old school and having a hard time with this "new Nascar" that's only about the money.

Re: Boogity Boogity

I really like all of the "hype", but then again I'm pretty "new" to NASCAR and spend hours watching Speed channel which is all interviews, hype, news, and very little of the actual racing.

My brother has been a NASCAR fan for years and agrees with the lot of you, though, so I think it's just what you are used to seeing that you gravitate towards.

Re: Boogity Boogity

I have no problem with the Boogity or anything else DW wants to do. I actually enjoy him and I like the nonsense that spews from Jimmy Spencer and Kenny Wallace too. What I don't like is the "polishing" of Nascar. I'll take some good old boys with red neck pasts who don't always get their grammar right but have genuine enthusiasm for the sport over the plastic haired professional announcers they're trying to push on us any day. I'd really like to see Kyle Petty in the booth really.

Rusty Wallace, while knowledgable and enthusiastic, gives me a headache.

You know I used to feel the same way that all the new stuff was just about money etc. Now though I kinda like to hear more about the drivers lives outside the track. They still give you info about the cars and the more technical side of NASCAR actually more with the new NASCAR than with the old. I think it's awesome that we have more networks that want to show the races, I think like any sport that suddenly gets so big so quickly NASCAR just needs to grow into itself.

Re: Boogity Boogity

Have you seen night drags? That show is crazy! I love it but I don't know if you can see it on the regular channel so I watch it on demand. I was looking around online afterwards on the Speed site and now they have a game about speed shows and nascar drivers, it was pretty cool. You should check out http://www.speedtv.com/watchondemand.

Bubbagump, the link you provided is strictly to download Flash8, and just takes you to Macromedia downloads which I have.
Sounds like a cool show, got any more info?

Good point, they already have the "Aarons Lucky Dog" for the Craftsman truck races that Mikey so proudly spews out of his mouth when someone gets their lap back.

Ultimately, Nascar is all about sponsorship money anyway.

Re: Boogity Boogity

Dld you guys hear jeff Hammon scolding Chad Knaus, because Chad declined a interview with Hammon, (Quote- Tricks are for Kids) what a doorknob! Fox really needs to get rid of Waltrip and Hammon just for the sake of the TV viewers sanity..
