Re: Chrysler 400 in Las Vegas

Rm,

Forgive me. I know nothing about Nascar but I'm willing to learn. What do the numbers represent at the far right on your listing of drivers and vehicles?

Re: Chrysler 400 in Las Vegas

That's their speed in the qualifying phase. The starting order is set by how fast these feller's were running. Biffle had the fastest qualifying speed at LVMS so he gets "the pole" (inside front row for the start).

Re: Chrysler 400 in Las Vegas

And with NASCAR making the rules up as they go. What is up the Tony Stweart call. He Clearly hit the cone the cone marks the spot that is why it is there. So where ever it is put is where it is suppose to be. Enough changing the rules to suit thier mood. I for one have had it. I'm finding something else to do with my Sundays

Angry Re: Chrysler 400 in Las Vegas

I am highly ticked off with NASCAR because the of how it seems that every race, Jimmie johnson seems to win the race every time and it pisses me off. I think that they should stop rigging these races Go Dale Jr

Re: Chrysler 400 in Las Vegas

Tell us how you really feel.

I feel the same way, just not so vocal on the internet about it. If the tables had been turned, and Kenseth was trying to pass Johnson on the outside on the last turn, the 48 would have taken the 17 up to the wall. Bank on it! But I'm a Kasey Kahne fan and glad to see he backed up his Busch win with a solid 4th place finish.

Re: Chrysler 400 in Las Vegas

Great start for the Johnson crew...they won fair and square...only led the last lap...the most important lap. Greatest surprise is that he did not take anyone out on the way through...Kenseth did his best, but was out bested this time around...another win by the Gordon look-alike (and sound alike).

Re: Chrysler 400 in Las Vegas

PhilB ... if you have the chance to watch the race again you'll see that the cone was definitely in from where it belonged. I am far from a Stewart (crybaby) fan but NASCAR didn't have the cone placed in the correct position. At least he didn't win the race , and in my book that is a plus. Wish he could have done a little more damage to his car so he would have finished further down the field. I'm still very pissed about his Daytona antics and no penalty.

Re: Chrysler 400 in Las Vegas

The boys in the booth said that the #17 car was having engine problems. I'm not completely sure if that an effect on the non-block of the 48, but, it was an exciting race, even though Johnson (Gordon, Jr.) won.

Welcome to GoTeamsGo, carllongfan

Yep, gotta agree that was a ton better than the fontana race. Lots to keep us interested. What did you think of JJ winning?

Re: Chrysler 400 in Las Vegas

Just the sound of the engines roaring is enough for me to watch 30 minutes of NASCAR every Sunday. Last week it was a cool race cuz it was a road race kinda like a Grand Prix and this week it came down to a photo finish. Seems like the controversies are becoming more common though. Hey what do you expect for $2.5 million dollar purses?
