Roush Racing Accident On I-10

A spokesman for Roush Racing confirmed Wednesday that the transporter for its No. 6 Nextel Cup team was involved in a multivehicle wreck with injuries on its way back to Concord for a test at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

The crash happened in Sierra Blanca, Texas, about 85 miles east of El Paso, just after 11 a.m. Eastern time, Border Patrol officials told television station KVIA.

According to a story posted on the KVIA.com website, the crash happened at mile marker 102 on Interstate 10 near a Border Patrol checkpoint.

A witness told the television station that the Roush Racing truck hit a motor home, which then struck another tractor-trailer, knocking that truck into yet another. Three people were taken to local hospitals, emergency officials said.
