I want to point out a few sleepers that not many people have mentioned yet.

Ricky Rudd- Rudd has been mentioned, but not as much as I thought. That team is feeling much better and with a teamate statring beside him he will have help from the start, and don't forget those Roush/Yates engines.

Kurt Busch- Both Penske cars have shown strength throughout speedweeks and it seems like Busch is always in the lead draft at the plate races. Anything can happen in these races and if Kurt continues to keep himself in the lead draft, things just might fall in his favor.

Sterling Marlin- Marlin was the man to beat at restrictor plate tracks in the mid 90s. He has been pretty optimistic about rejuvenating his career even towards the end of its rope. Marlin was fast in qualifying and knows how to draft. He may be a longer shot than the others though.

Casey Mears- He ran a strong second in the 500 last year and 7th in the July race. He now drives for the Hendrick program that has been dominant at the restrictor plate races in the last couple years. No doubt he will be at the front, and maybe his Hendrick mates will help him to his first win.

That won't happen. Mears is cleaner than Vickers. Now Mears may get JJ a little loose, but hey that's racing.
