UAW-DaimlerChrysler 400

This weekend, the Nextel Cup circuit goes to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway for the 2006 UAW-DaimlerChrysler 400. Last year's winner, Jimmie Johnson, has gotten off to a phenomenal start this year. It wouldn't be a surprise to see him wind up claiming a second straight victory in this one. Other drivers to watch include hometown boy Kurt Busch and California winner Matt Kenseth. Anyone care to chime in with their predictions?

I would also go with Jimmy or if Gordon gets it together he could be a factor.

Re: UAW-DaimlerChrysler 400

The way he has been running lately, I would put my money on Tony Stewart, especially after qualifying outside front row. Johnnson is a threat no doubt, but I have a hard time rooting for him. I dont care for his "it wasnt my fault" attitude and his "bending the rules" crew chief. Wasnt his win last year tainted because his car was too low?

My sentimental favorite is Kasey Kahne, because I like the kid. He's got a great starting spot, and has proven in the past he can dominate a race. Unfortunately, most of the races he dominated ended up with DNFs because of various trouble.

Then of course there is the Busch Brothers. Either one can win, but I'm no fan of Kyle either because of his arrogant attitude, so I would prefer to see him in the garage with a bent car. Kurt obviously appears to be making a serious attempt to change his image. I saw him this week on Dave Despains "Wind Tunnel", and I was impressed with the New Kurt Busch. Plus, I'm a Dodge fan, so would like to see him win or at least be fighting for it.

Biffle on the pole will be strong I'm sure, as will most of the Roush cars. Bottom line, Tony Stewart is on a tear, and will very hard to beat.

I say that all of Roush cars will be in the top ten and one will win the race, and that will be Biffle...

Well Tin Can 3 out of 5 isn't to bad. I blew it in the fantasy league I am in. I picked Ryan Newman as one of my 4 drivers for the week. He qualified OK but then changed engines and went to the back. That wasn't bad enough, now he bangs the wall H A R D !!!!! Thank God it is just a fantasy league. I'd hate to be betting real money on my choices this week.
