you know around some of our big cities the air is polluted sow bad it looks like a black fog but the people there keep breathing. My thought is if there is something you don't like, you say it and do what you can to change it, you don't throw your hands up and quit or boycott it. talking about what you don't like with other people and listening to there opinion help you see things from another point of view. It is all these different points of view is what makes this world go around.

Do you mean people demanding a points change several years back and got what they wanted by NASCAR changing the points system? Now, the same people a complaing about what the system was changed to. Where does it end? Never, because some think they are smarter and are experts.
Back in 2001 when DE got killed at Daytona, people were demanding that the tracks and cars be made safer. With the soft wall, you can say the tracks were made safer, but they also went to work on the COT to make the cars safer. Now look at all the negitive posts on message boards against the COT and by the same folks that demanded the cars to be safer. You ask for it...you got it.

Re: Chase system changes

The cars being safer was a big issue... but wasn't it France and Company that took it apon themselves to go past what folks asked for and design their own car? I mean wasn't one of the biggest reasons for the COT according to Na$car was to level the playin field so even small teams had a fightin chance against the more big and well funded teams?

The COT is a totally different story. the people on this forum aren't the ones making the changes where the ones talking about it. if you look at the COT post you may git the idea we are waiting to see how the COT preforms on the track in race conditions witch is totally different than test conditions.

The people asked for a bigger "greenhouse" and a larger "crusch zone" which they got with the COT. Bottom line, people demanded it and they got it.

I think it was drivers that ask for these changes.

We have the right to, the stars are aligned right, that's the way life is. The racers asked for it apparently. On this board I can't recall anyone askin for it or demandin it. It's many things and why. The fact that the cars are no different from each other now and it's basically now IROC series. There are many reasons why. People are goin to complain no matter what cause let's face it, you can't make everyone happy. Some folks are informed on their opinions... others are not. I'm not particularly happy with the COT... but I will give it a chance.

Re: Chase system changes

Well it is good to know now that since we on the message boards demand things that we will now get them. I was afraid all that was said here was just a fruitless effort. I can only feel great now just knowing that so many want NASCAR to return to its roots that this too will happen very soon. After all we on the message boards are demanding it so we shall get it.

One thing I'm beginning to not understand is why we can apparently no longer complain/voice our opinions without being informed we are complainers. Many here enjoy reading others opinions even though they may not be the same as your own.

As far as changes to the Chase system, if the powers that be were reading the threads here I'm not real sure how they could have made changes based on our desires. Most everyone had a different twist to the needed changes. Same goes for just about everything else "we've demanded". ?????

Yeah, the internet experts demanded this and that to be done everything that NASCAR does is wrong, but only because they read it or heard it and thinks it makes them sound cool. Kinda like the ones that call themselves "old time" fans who think they've been abandoned. The ones that really felt like that are not following the sport anymore. Why would they?
