| Distribution of Nascar Penalty Fines Was looking Nascar Penalties and was surprised to see that the money collected from fines goes back to the top drivers.......do you guys all agree that this should be the case? What happens to the money from the penalties? The money collected from driver/crew member penaties are generally placed into the Drivers Points Fund awarded at the end of the season. $384,000 in 2004 Fines Redistributed: NASCAR collected fines of $384,495 from 73 Nextel Cup penalties in 2004 and redistributed the money to the top 25 drivers, The Wall Street Journal reports today. As a result, champion Kurt Busch, whose team was fined $21,000 for various infractions during the season, collected $84,588. The newspaper says the NBA, the NFL and MLB turn over the fine money they collect to philanthropic organizations.(NASCAR Scene Daily Newsletter)(6-17-2005) |

| Re: Distribution of Nascar Penalty Fines I think we had a discussion way back( and I mean waaaaaaaay back) on this. It would be hard to find though. I think the money should go to charities. If they want to keep it in Na$car, then they should give it to the Victory Junction Gang Camp the Petty's run.

| Re: Distribution of Nascar Penalty Fines I'd lift a Fosters to that. |

| Re: Distribution of Nascar Penalty Fines I'll take a Fosters over Colorado Kool-Aid or Butt-Weiser. If you must know my personal preferences are Jose Quervo, salt and lemon, and either J&B or Famous Grouse Scotch (NOT mixed together). |

It's good to see guys who don't subscribe to the marriage advice of Lewis Grizzard (late humorist and writer for the Atlanta Journal Constipation), who quipped: "I'll never get married again. If I EVER feel the need to do so, I'll just go out, find some woman I hate, and buy her a house!" Congratulations, Dustin.
