Who would you put together as a fantasy all star announcing team? Since this is fantasy of sorts you're welcome to include any current drivers as well as past and current drivers/announcers. I'd be curious as to why you select the people you do.

So who is it you'd like to see in the booth?

OK I'm no Jon Madden fan...too redundant in that he says the same thing over again. he repeats what he stated the first time then says it all over again.

BUT...

Can't you just hear him saying...

"then Tony Stewart comes down on the 17 car and BOOM... he slides into the infield because the 20 knocked him down there"

"I like the Jimmy Spencers with their uniforms all dirty and the car all dented and the fenders all hanging off the car and the firesuit all unzipped...that's what it's all supposed to be about...the Jimmy Spencer types. I like the Spencers of Nascar."

I can appreciate you outlook on the racers and the rag-tag, guts and glory of the racing sport...kinda like when Allison and Cale got into it years ago...real down-and-out emotional racing...like it should be. An interesting side note to your Spencer guy: While on a fishing boat with D.E. in '95 (in Homer, Alaska) I had occasion to ask Dale what he though of Spencer. His casual reply was that "He is a waste of a decent race car." I am not intending to curb your appreciation of Spencer, its just that your comments remeinded me of the comment...FYI.

Those all sound like good choices for the booth. Just so they get rid of the guys on tnt who have to wear the tnt jumpsuits. How tarded is that? even when there is a rain delay and the drivers are being interviewed in thier coaches, those guys are still wearing thier jumpsuits. Am I the only person who hates the jump suits?

wampenrock...just wanted you to know the Spencer comments were intended to be illustration of what Madden might say if calling a race.

Thanks for the suggestions to all of you. Keep them coming. I totally agree with Kenny and Kyle. I've wished for awhile that they'd get out of the car and come up to the booth. They'd both be fun there...yeah Schrader too!

I actually like Dallenbach too. He is opinonated but that's what makes us think and react.

No offense intended, but I don't think much of Rusty as an announcer. Someone described him as a rat on crack and I thought that was perfect. His voice and inflection just BUG me!

Hmmmmm........ya know, I'm real happy with the FOX/Speed team. We could add Mikey in as well. He is doing alright in the booth doing the truck races.
