Hi! I am Sherry, 31/F, and HAPPY to be a Nascar fan!

I went to my first ever Nascar race at TMS back in November, and it was more fun than I have ever had in my entire life. So, for Christmas, I jokingly asked for tickets to Talladega. Guess what Santa brought me???? YEP! Not only did he bring me tickets, but he also reserved an RV slot AND brought me a brand-spanking new Nascar race headset and scanner! I am so happy I can't stand it!

Anyway, I am figuring out how to do this whole forum thing but wanted to say hello. I am REALLY looking forward to the new season starting and look forward to hanging out here!

Hi Sherry and welcome to the internets most popular website for sports. Once you get to navigate around the site you'll also see that out of all the sports represented here NASCAR is the most popular by far. As our great friend Quality 88 noted we are a bit quiet right now but with about 43 days to go we are getting some activity. I hope we'll be seeing some postings from you about who you like and how you view our sport in its current state and what the future looks like. Once again welcome and jump right in.

Trust me, Santa has been thanked for his gift and will continue to be thanked for months to come. I started jumping up and down and hollering in the style of a true Nascar fan.

I just love the sport. I do have a favorite driver - JJ - but I'm not super fanatical about him. I like all of the drivers, except for Tony Stewart, but that's because the Dickies 500 was the Tony show and then he bump-drafted the pace car, which I found to be somewhat irritating. Other than that, I love seeing the cars, hearing the drivers (even if they are whining!) and watching the pit crews work at top speed.

I even did a "test run" at TMS on a demo unit to change a tire - I got the lugs off and back on again in 19 seconds. Not too bad for a girl who has never used a torque wrench before! The guys at the unit were impressed!

I am looking so forward to going to another race that I get all excited and smiley. My husband loves it!

You freaked me out for a minute there! I forgot I put my myspace in my profile. My babies are 3, 4, and one just turned 6. They are into superheroes so I have Batman (6 y/o), Robin (4 y/o), Supergirl (3 y/o), Wonder Woman (me) and Superman (my hubby.) Fun times around my house, let me tell ya. But on race days we all root for Biffle, Gordon, Jr., and Johnson! We are a fun bunch!

If that irritated you, you would have totally despised the late great Dale Earnhardt. He has been known to lift the pace cars rear wheels off the ground. They're just messin' around and having fun when the do that.

Just want to say welcome to goteamsgo Ive only been here for a little while but everybody has pretty good knowledge of the sport except the #24 & #48 guys.
