Re: Denny Hamlin

Denny is clean, talented, properly humble and with a great team...we have enjoyed two recent wins by this young man with a promise of several more to come...He won fairly and well. However, it is a good bet that Busch may have had to leave the country under cover...maybe he waded across the border ?? His loss of judgement was not uncommon, but sure was the the wrong time, in the wrong place...the grandstands looked like a place he would not want to be a hot-dog or pop corn vendor for a while !!

Re: Denny Hamlin

Another good day for Hamlin today, according to Bob Margolis of Yahoo! Sports.

Quote:
Denny Hamlin continues to impress. He went a lap down early after making mistakes on pit road but fought back all day and finally finished 14th. Next week, the Cup hits his home track at Martinsville. Could we see his first points win?
So what do you think? Does Hamlin have a shot at Martinsville?

Re: Denny Hamlin

With continued proper mentoring, not allowing himself to grandstand, centration during the race keeping his mind equally on achieving his peer's respect...this kid could go further than his sponsor. Don't think he should drive like he does on either the lawn mower or the boat in his commercials...yep, this kid could indeed be the real stuff !! RCR knows his stuff too...when he bailed out of the raced car and hooked up with the likes of guy named Earnhardt, he was on his way, demonstrating that he can in fact find talent among the chaff. Followed with Skinner in the trucks, Harvick, etc...etc...etc. Good head, this Childress.

Re: Denny Hamlin

Denny Hamlin drives for Joe Gibbs, not RCR.

He's my pick to win rookie of the year, so let's hope he keeps it up

Re: Denny Hamlin

By golly, you're right...what was I thinking?,,,,Hate when I get egg on my face... but thanks for the correction....still like RCR and what's not to like about a guy named Joe Gibbs...even if his kid is running the show...not sure I know what's really going on there. Since you correctly corrected me, I'll have to drop back ten and punt!!

Re: Denny Hamlin

Like everyone else I too am happy that he is doing so well. My greatest hope is that he doesn't let his head get to big and start acting like some of the other hotheads. When they let their self proclaimed fame get in the way of their driving it generally leads to on track problems and we already have enough of those drivers out there.
