| Toyota Shining Star for '07 There has been some discussion about who you feel the "Toyota Shining Star for 2007" will be. Here are the choices. I've included Todd Bodine for GERMAIN RACING although they will be doing only a limited schedule. Good Luck. Time will tell who the winner is. Feel free to post why you are making your choice.

On the other hand, Vickers impresses me because he let Hendrick. Plus, his determination and desire to win , backed up with a lot of talent and patience is something that isn't always shown on Cup race days. The fact he sent his "superior" team mate spinning, on the way to his first victory, and then had the audacity to not fall to his knees, kow-tow and beg for forgiveness and mercy also gave him some stature in my book. Solely because of Red Bull money I'm going with Vickers. However, it'd make my heart go pitter-pat to see Blaney close to, or in, the Chosen Ten.

| Re: Toyota Shining Star for '07 Sorry all, it's going to be Mikey! He is the one who has spent the time and effort to get Toyota into NASCAR and will probably be their best driver this year. He won't be in the top 10, but, I think the "Toys" will give the other brands a run fot their money.

It's easy to think that Waltrip was Toyota's big player because he has a tendency to try and focus all attention to himself and was probably the most vocal about switching to Toyota. However, history will prove that BDR was there first with the initial help and Bill put his money where his mouth was, so-to-speak. As far as giving the American-logo'd cars a "run for their money, you are probably correct. I predict the first half of 2007 will be only so-so for the Rice Burners but they'll show some real spark the second half. 2008 will be successful but probably not remarkable. However in 2009, or maybe as early as 2008, Honda will make the announcement about their intentions and Toyota will dominate. You can't imagine how much I hope I'm proved wrong on that last prediction. |

I can imagine Bob and as sad as it is to say it I hope you are 100% wrong. |
