| Re: Toyota Shining Star for '07 I picked Brian Vickers, he has been right on the edge of a break out year. I think he has the talent and the focus factor to win. Yes focus factor, no owner distractions, he is in a great position to break out right now he is flying under the radar Just my opinion

| Re: Toyota Shining Star for '07 Hi, everyone. As you may notice, there are a few missing posts in this thread. I made an error in judgment approving a controversial post by an unregistered member, and for that I apologize. I have since deleted the post in question and all in response to it. Again, I'm sorry for any inconvenience this causes. Please send me a PM if you have any questions, comments or complaints regarding this issue; otherwise, please continue to discuss who you think the 2007 Toyota Shining Star will be! So far, Brian Vickers is in the lead with Dale Jarrett, David Reutimann and Michael Waltrip in 2nd through 4th place, respectively. Not much love for Blaney or Mayfield, eh?

Jarrett... Made a horrible decision. It's cost him, both in fan base and prestige. (Is it just me or have I missed a preponderance of "Drive the Truck Dale" commercials so far this season?) Reutimann... Tainted by association with... (see next) Mikey... Having a brother named Darrell Waltrip just kinda says it all. Mayfield...? I haven't liked Jeremy since he whined his way out of Penske's #12. I see no reason to change now. I weaken and picked Vickers but previous posts in other threads will show that I was on board with Blaney before Daytona. I still think Dave will shine and possibly be Toyota's first winner. He's run very good in every race so far but has either succumbed to engine problems or been caught up in some other driver's faux pas. He's good enough and if a car owner was ever owed a successful season, it's Bill and Gail Davis, IMNSVHO.

| Re: Toyota Shining Star for '07 I picked Dale Jarrett because he has been in the sport for a long time and didn't win any races last season. So I think it is time that DJ goes to Victory Lane. My second Pick would have to be Todd Bodnie becuase he has been dirving a Toyota in the truck series he knows about the Toyota and he knows how to win in the Toyota and look he has already got Toyota a championship so we know that he knows what he is doing. I really don't think that Red Bull Racing is going to do anything this year any way because they can't get their cars and drivers into the shows. They have been in one race this year and that was with Brian Vickers. So I think right now that Brian Vickers is kicking his self because he left Hendrick Motorsports. He could of won some races and could have been in all three races that have took place already but instead he left and went to Red Bull Rcaing and look he has only been in one race and that was the Auto Club 500 this season. So I think that Brian Vickers will be leaving Red Bull after this season and trying to find a team that he can go to and make it into races or maybe he will stay with Red Bull and they will have no problems getting into races next year and they will be winning some races next year. So till then Red Bull will have problems this season trying to get into races. Hey if all fails they move both teams down into the Busch series this year or next year and try to bring the back up into the Nextel Cup. Look at this way Brian Vickers knows how to win races in the Busch series and he also knows how to win Championships into the Busch Series. Think that is what Red Bull Racing need to do.

| Re: Toyota Shining Star for '07 Well I didn't get in here at the beginning of the season. But I will still pick Dale Jarrett. All the teams are new and all are going to struggle all year. But I think he'll be the one to not give up so easily. He's been in it enough to know they'll struggle and maybe not get as frustrated as the younger ones. I would like to see Mikey get his act together and start making the races and I also would like to see Jeremy hit the wall in every race he is in. |

| Re: Toyota Shining Star for '07 It was a tough choice: Reutimann or Almendinger? two names that are naturally hard to spell and pronounce. But the R-man won my vote! So far, he's been the cream of the crop. But now that AJ has finally made a race, we get to see what he can do... I won't be surprised if he edges out the R-Man.
