Re: Jeff Gordon I like him and think he is great for the sport. He brought a lot of main stream media attention to Nascar and helped move Nascar away from the southern, hillbilly, backwoods niche sport to a legit national sport. He is a class guy unlike some of the other drivers.

Re: Jeff Gordon I think he could be the best driver ever in NASCAR. Earnheart was a dirty driver and Richard Petty I guess will always be King but Gordon has the ability to be the best ever. Just in the last couple of years he has gone to trying to not lose. If he gets past that he will be the best ever.

I don't like Gordon at all. Personally I think he is a cry baby. When I watch a race anybody could win but him and I would be HAPPY! When he does win most of the crowd boos him. Ya he is good for the sport b/c people can make fun of him!

Re: Jeff Gordon Think of how much Gordon has ment to NASCAR. He brought in a whole new rich, upperr-class crowd to the sport that love to root for him, and he brought strengthened the sports more, shall we say, blue collar core fanbase because they think he's a rich punk and they love to hate him. Either way, both he and the sport get mainstream attention. How can that be bad?

Re: Jeff Gordon Oh I think Gordon has done so much for NASCAR. I totally respect what he's done for the sport but down in this redneck of the woods he is seen as the "gay" driver. And some of us redneck hillbillies like to sneak around and put a "24" on people's car we know hate Gordon. Actually I think a lot of the Gordon hate comes from him busting open the money doors and having so much financial success early on. Sorta like some people will always hate A-Rod for that big $242 Million contract.

| Re: Jeff Gordon I think Gordon has changed the face of Nascar. He is a good driver and gets things done. I am not a fan though. After Terry labonte left, I have no reason to like Hendricks. Jimmie and Jeff are turning out to be a couple crybabies. Other people cry to, but it seems like everytime they are on tv or being interviewed, they are blaming their problems on someone else or just bitching.

Re: Jeff Gordon I loved Nascar when it was a southern, hillbilly backwoods niche sport. I love it now, too, but it's a different ball game altogether and I'm not sure it's better. Gordon has no respect, I think, for the history of stock car racing and I agree with others who have expressed disgust at his whining. An excellent driver to be sure, and probably good for the sport Nascar has become- but overall....yuck.
