Re: Die-Cast Cars

The Snap-On guys comes to my shop every Tuesday. I buy cars off that truck like it was going out of style. He usually hooks me up with some pretty good deals. To bad I will be making payments on the stuff till I am 50. Also, I buy the smaller diecasts that they sell at Target. I buy 2 of each. 1 to keep in the package, and I have a friend who is buildning me a model of Bristol where I will put the second set of cars I buy. Of course Gordon and Kurt Busch will be on thier roofs skidding down the straight away, but it should be cool

I have 10 of the cars from Petty's last year. They are from the races I attended that year.

Re: Die-Cast Cars

There is a thread somehat like this here!.

Picture's Of Your Nascar Collection

I don't want to post my pics in two threads, just takes up too much bandwidth! Hope to see some of your collections there!

Someone else started the thread, but it could be very cool to see some of what you folks have!

Re: Die-Cast Cars

I've got almost the entire collection of Petty cars from the beginning of Petty Enterprises in 1/64th. Only missing 4.

Re: Die-Cast Cars

I collected most of the late DE's cars, until he died. I still have most of his special paint cars, but sold the more valuable Crash Car, original Wrangler cars and 88 Goodwrench car to help fund other hobbies. I also have some of the older Monte Carlos and Aerocoupes including Neil Bonnet and DWs Bud cars, Ricky Rudd Piedmont, Tim Richmond Folgers, Neil Bonnet Country Time Lumina (w/Hoosiers, the car he died in), DW Tide aerocoupe, David Pearson Chatanooga Chew, Jimmy Spencer Smokin Joes T-bird, Lake Speed Cartoon Network, Tony Stewart rookie car, Todd Bodine Tobasco (anyone remember that one?) and plenty more I cant think of. But I mostly have Earnhardt cars. They've been in their original boxes in large plastic containers in a closet for years, so I'm going strictly off memory.
I always wanted to set up a display case, but after DE's death, I lost interest, plus the fact I can't keep up with all these special paint cars that EVERYONE is now doing.
Oh, I also have a quite a few DE pit banks, including Wheaties, Peter Max, 25th Anniversary and Jrs. Superman Busch Series pit bank. I need to pull this stuff out of the closet and do an inventory of what I have left.

Of the half-dozen I sold, these are the two that I miss the most........

Re: Die-Cast Cars

While surfing through pics of cars I have in my PC, I found a cool set of Coke cars I forgot I had. These are from the first race that DE Sr and Jr ran together in Japan.

Re: Die-Cast Cars

I have the coke cars and the 88 aero-coupe, but that wrangler is the one I am missing. I have both pink fords(1956?). if I ever get the game room done I plan to put some back out on display.
