Hi, sholcman, and welcome to GoTeamsGo. Great idea for a topic here!

I don't have a favorite female driver, per se, but Erin Crocker is one to watch. Crocker's a 3-time Quarter Midgets of America Female Driver of the Year, and most recently she placed 15th in the ARCA RE/MAX 200 at Daytona on February 12th.

Well, what do you guys think of Melanie Penney and Danica Patrick? I think they've both made great contributions to the sport. There still aren't enough women in the field, however.

I think you'll start to see more women in NASCAR simply because of the example set by Danica, Compton and others. I think that is only a PLUS for NASCAR and female sportfans as well. As for the best I have to go with Patrick, she's paving the way.

There was talk about Danica eventually making the jump to NASCAR. Think it'll ever happen and, if so, how do you think she would fare?

I think it will happen, eventually. I think it's going to take an owner who is willing to take a chance on a female driver in the big time. Is Danica capable? Great question. I think that she could very well surprise a few folks. I wouldn't be surprised to see her there one day.

With all due respect to Danica Patrick et al, the girl in the porsche that I saw darting through I-4 traffic this morning while applying her make up get my vote.

This has bothered me from the first time I read this thread, I was waiting to see if anyone else would say anything. Nobody pointed it out that Stacy Compton is a he not a she! Not trying to be rude, sorry if it comes off that way!

My wife can drive a bulldozer and a MGB. She has that kind of versatility. The vehicle that I'm most concerned about is the shopping cart. Sometimes she gets that thing too weighted down.

Man, that's why there are different divisions for these things...NASCAR, Formula I....etc...look, just tell her the money is just not that good in the Shopping Cart Division...I mean after the Winn Dixie race, the Publix race, and the Walmart Super Center 24 Hour race...what else is there I ask you?
