| Nextel guys in the Busch races I hate this. I wish they'd give young drivers a few years to decide if they want to be in Nextel or Busch and after that if you go Nextel then that's it. I hate the whole thing of Nextel drivers being in the Busch races. It'd be like the Atlanta Braves playing against the Fulton County community league. Just MHO. |

| Re: Nextel guys in the Busch races I agree with you BUT, alot of the car owners have teams in nextel, bush, and the truck series, so when they can they will go with the experienced driver hands down to up the odds of a better car placement in the field. Its all about the money..

| Re: Nextel guys in the Busch races That really is how it should be set up. The points you all have made are very valid. Busch needs to be the place where your reserves are kept so they can be called up in time of need and also to develop their craft to make it to the big dance. Developing guys on the dirt tracks isn't the answer. The Busch series would be an awesome place for that and enhance the legitimacy of the Nextel Cup.

| Busch as second fiddle Do you really think that Busch wants to be seen as second fiddle? I mean why should they be labeled as the "other" series. Having drivers in both is what is actually keeping Nextel interesting. Its along the same lines as having extra points for the top ten in last ten races; so that one guy can't run away with it. Checks and balances my friends, checks and balances. |

| Re: Nextel guys in the Busch races If you wanted to look at it from the Busch point of view you could liken it to the old AFL vs NFL war that transpired four decades ago. The AFL was seen as subpar until it proved it could hang with the big boys of the NFL. I understand this scenario is a little different, but it's the same old argument. Right now, Nextel is the championship ALL the drivers want. |

| Re: Nextel guys in the Busch races I like seeing the cup drivers race in Busch series from time to time, but when some of the smaller teams in Busch series try to compete with the cup drivers, they don't have a chance. The cup drivers should be allowed to drive for the experience, but when it comes to money, the full time Busch drivers should be recieving a majority of the pot money.

| Re: Nextel guys in the Busch races Welcome to GoTeamsGo.com, Allworld. Glad you could join us! I still think that NASCAR should at least look at making the two seperate entities, and make drivers choose one or the other. I understand why they don't, though. Money. Think as many Busch series tickets would sell if there was zero chance that any of the bigger-name drivers would be there? |

| Re: Nextel guys in the Busch races I think it would be a BETTER race. Busch would have to innovate to get the crowd for lack of bigshots on the track. They would have to highlight unknowns. - sorta like how minor league baseball does and are often more enjoyable than MLB games. |

| Re: Nextel guys in the Busch races Well I really don't agree with it either. It just doesn't make since that the veteran drivers come and beat the crap out off the younger drivers. Although I do like to see Jr and Martin Truex Jr Team Up At Daytona |

| Re: Nextel guys in the Busch races While the whole world revolves around money that doesn't make it right or fair. I too, see Busch racing as the minors, developmental or whatever you want to call it. None of those drivers want to remain in the Busch series. If there are only 43 drivers allowed into a race and 5, 6, 7 or more are cup drivers then they are being denied the chance for experience, points and money. The cup drivers come down there with nothing to lose and everything to gain. When the Busch drivers do come up to the Cup series they are always reminded that they don't have the experience and don't get in the way of those out to win the championship. My vote is to keep the cup drivers in the cup series. |
