Who is the best rookie driver?

This is a question I think really needs to be looked at. Who are these new guys that are swimming with these sharks? Will they survive or be sent back to the small time and dirt tracks? Who is the diamond in the rough?

I don't know if you would really consider him a rookie but Martin Truex Jr. I think is going to have to be looked at.

No question Denny Hamlin will be around a long time. I say that more from the difference he made in going to the 11 car last year than his shootout win. When Denny took over the 11 it was a forgotten also ran with musical chair drivers. Suddenly it was a competitive ride! Go get 'em Denny!

Hamlin would get my vote too. His impressive run in the Shootout has me expecting big things from him.

Thumbs up Agreed.

I agree with Lefty (as usual). Hamlin looks very good, and I for one was impressed when he kept on Dale Jr.'s tail for a good long while at Daytona (though he did fade later). That and the Bud Shootout win were pretty impressive, in my book. As long as he stays away from Tony "Bumper Cars" Stewart, he should be fine.

I'm going to go with Hamlin too, despite his little incident at the entrance to pit row tonight. I think he's got some old school racing in him and lord knows I think we need that.

Welcome to GoTeamsGo, RacinRay11. Do you think Clint, a former motocross guy, has what it takes to really make it in the Cup series?
