| Re: 2006's Most Embarrassing NASCAR Moments Welcome back, bape Do you work for that company or just subcontract? They should pay you for spreading the news about their NASCAR stories on so many forums Since we're here to chat about NASCAR, let's change directions a little. Who can list the most embarrassing moments on NASCAR this season? (fair wanring, I don't want this to turn into yet another pro-anti Jeff Gordon thread.)

| Re: 2006's Most Embarrassing NASCAR Moments You mean there are people out there who actually think NA$CAR is without faults? <GASP!> Now THAT is a piece of shocking news I never expected today! WOW! I have to give this concept some serious thought! |

I can't give you a list but, to me the two most embarrassing things in this past season which would make a new fan ask, "Why do I want to waste my time on this crap?" would be, to me: 1. The October Texas race. A supremely B-O-R-I-N-G race with only one pass for the lead on the track. The biggest challenge about that race was trying to think of something positive to say about it. 2. Jeremy Mayfield's return to his "Nobody loves me; I'm just a poor victim!" mode and his airing of extremely personal "dirty laundry" originating within the Everham team. That wasn't racing, that was a combination of "Days of Our Lives" and "Beverly Hills 90210," with the slimier aspects of "Survivor" thrown in. On a positive note, a bright spot for NASCAR and its media was the fact that apparently everyone thought that Jeffie Pooh had suffered enough and they have pretty much left Jeffie and his new bride (Congratulations, BTW) pretty much alone. From one race fan, thank you, media!

| Re: 2006's Most Embarrassing NASCAR Moments Great ones so far. Mr. Give and Take shoving Kenseth in the grass at nearly 200 mph is a good one as is Mayfield getting himself fired. I'd like to nominate the classy member of the #10 team shoving Mr. and Mrs. Harvick down and injuring a NASCAR official in the process.

| Re: 2006's Most Embarrassing NASCAR Moments I don't see that as embarrassing NASCAR though. Kurt embarrassing himself most likely, but I don't see why NASCAR would be embarrassed by it. It's just one of their drivers being spontaneous. I'm not saying I'd do snow angels as my victory dance, I'm just saying I don't see what NASCAR has to be embarrassed about, that's all. |
