Can anyone find photos or information of Terry Labonte sliding backwards across the finish line after Dale Earnhardt spun him out during the race? I believe the race was the 1995 Goody's 500. Just curious...couldn't find anything much myself...

God, I feel old! Asking questions about a 1995 race?! Please, no offense, Kahnefan but it just seems kind of...? new?

I watched the race. Terry was leading the night race at Bristol. As I remember, Jarrett had led most of the race. Terry had been leading for awhile but Dale was closing fast. Coming out of turn 4 on the white flag lap, Dale just plain stuck Terry in the wall. One of Dale's famous "Racin' deals?"

I believe that I remember them having to tow Terry's wrecked car into Victory Lane. Terry was hot but took it better than his crew, who, as a group, wanted to fold, spindle and multilate Earnhardt. I don't remember Dale getting anything more than a "tsk! Tsk!" from NASCAR.

Remember, this happened back in the days when the drivers actually drove to win, or most of them did, anyway.

Wasn't that also Dale's infamous " Hell I didn't mean to wreck him, just ment to rough him up a little".... followed by Terry's "Have you ever heard him say he meant to wreck someone?"

There were actually two incidents. The first time, Dale crashed Terry and Labonte went across the finish line with a wrecked car, but Terry still won. The second time is the infamous, "I just wanted to rattle his cage" race where DE won. I'm not sure which race kahnefan09 is refering to.
